over later. L.D.S. records show a Richard Warren being born in one ofthree
dates (1575, 1580, 1596) in Kent County, Greenwich, England to Chistopher
Warren and Alice Webb--also in London in 1579 same person and parents.Richard
was a merchant in London just prior to 1620. He was Assistant Governor of
Plymouth. LDS records show Richard marrying Elizabeth Jauneatt/JouattMarch
in London, England in 1602.

The Knowlton Genealogy Book indicates that Ephraim moved from Berkshire,Mass.
in 1844 to New Lyons, Ohio ( should be New Lyme ) and died atRoseville, Illinois in 1854. Research
leads us to believe that Ephraim was in Berkshire County, Mass. in thetown of
Williamstown and then went to New Lyme (Ashtabula County), Ohio.To date (5 March 2000) we have been unable to locate Ephraim's grave,however, where his son John C. KNOWLTON is buried in Roseville,Illinois, there is sufficent unmarked spaces next to him and his firstwife for Ephraim to be buried, but unmarked.

Terry B. HARDY and Lucille BUCK HARDY visited what we are certain isSarah's grave on 26 August 1999 in the Brownville Cemetery at South NewLyme, Ashtabula County, Ohio. Her name is on a large marker , whichalso has her daughter Emily S. KNOWLTON POTTER , Emily's husband OlneyR. POTTER and five other POTTER names.........the marker is veryreadable.
Sarah is Lucille BUCK HARDY's great - great - great - grandmother.
