He was returning from Early, IA in a car that had been converted into apickup
truck on Hwy 20 (Eastbound). While going down hill on "Indian Hill" helost
control of his vehicle went through the ditch on the south side of theroad,
into a field and overturned. He was taken to the hospital in Sac City,where
he later died from his injuries (1932). I, Terry B.HARDY (grandson), have
visited his grave many times. Camcorded his headstone in the 1990s. Hewas
48 yrs 11 mos 6 days. Lived at 604 Platt St., Sac City, IA (1920 Census).

I, Terry B. Hardy, have visited her grave numerous times in the 1980s andthe
1990s. Headstone reads Doris Lucretia BAICHTAL HOFFMAN. She did a lot of
hitch-hiking. She married numerous times. I camcorded her headstone.
Cause of death was cancer. She died in California. I remember
in the late 1940s she came and stayed at our (Aunt Sadie LOSURE STATON's)
house and she was very ill. She stayed in our living room on a roll-awaybed
