Ban offers five chess pieces to use them to create a new guard like he did when he created, Freeze. He also gives Hadora a higher post and a new function, from now on he will protect the island where Ban's headquarters are. Hadora accepts. Myst is now the new commander of the armies of Ban and Kilvan maintains his duty. Furious, Saboera - who is observing the scene in his crystal ball - curses them because they have forgotten him. He therefore decides to eliminate Fly himself to regain "esteem" by Ban.

Poppu, Chiu and Krokodin are searching for Fly. But they can't find him anywhere. Desperate, Poppu shouts Fly's name. Fly who's still alive but imprisoned in an iceberg hears Poppu, he uses his last forces to give them a signal by using his dragon sign projected on the clouds in the sky. Poppu and Krokodin have noticed it and rush to the iceberg. But they are not the only one who noticed it. Saboera and his army also want to find Fly to eliminate him! While Krokodin tackles Saboera and his soldiers, Poppu tries to free Fly from the iceberg. He succeeds but Fly is so weak that Poppu has to borrow him. Saboera suddenly appears and asks his soldiers to all invoke their MERAZOMA's on him. He then concentrates them and invokes MAHO PLUS to throw a giant Merazoma on Fly and Poppu, ten times stronger than a normal Merazoma. Poppu is in a difficult position because he can't flee with Chiu behind him. Suddenly something appears and blocks Maho Plus just before it hits Fly and Poppu.

It seems to be a sort of metalic chess piece that soon transforms into a human-like being. Saboera is furious and asks the stranger why he intervened. Poppu notices that even Saboera doesn't seem to know him. The stranger answers his name is hym, the faithful pion of Hadora and that he won't let somebody else than Hadora battle Fly. Saboera is angry and invokes Merazoma on Hym. But Hym doesn't feel anything and isn't hurt. Saboera sends his soldiers on Hym but he beats them one after the other. Poppu and Krokodin are very impressed. Then Hym says them he will see them soon again. Krokodin asks him why he doesn't finish them now. Hym answers his not a coward and bastard like Saboera, but in service of the very noble Master Hadora. He also adds there are four other guards of Hadora. All are made of Oriharukon, which explains their extraordinary resistance.

Poppu and Krokodin are back in Papunika, they told their encounter with Hym to the others. They all decided to train to be able to catch up with the guards. Hyunkel and Fly went to Ron Berku, Fuam is training on her own somewhere in Papunika, krokodin is training in the whirlpool of Baruji. And Poppu went to Matorif to ask him what to do against the guards. Meanwhile Hadora presents his new guards to Ban. There is Hym the pion, Blok the tower, Fenbren the bishop, Sigma the knight and Alvinas the queen.

Matorif, who's staying in bed because his not well, is surprised by what Poppu tells him. If the guards are noble then Hadora must be too, because the characteristics of a person are transmitted in the incantation to make beings like the guards or Freeze. But as Hadora was cruel and ambitious at the moment he created Freeze, Freeze inherited these traits of character and they even more boldly expressed by Freeze. But now that Hadora is nobler, the guards will be a lot more difficult to take on. Poppu reminds Matorif that the guards are made of Oriharukon and that a simple incantation will not suffice to beat them. Matorif steps out of his bed and asks Poppu to follow him outside. Matorif is prepared to learn Poppu his strongest incantation. Matorif begins asking Poppu some simple questions on the flame and ice spells which Poppu answers commenting even kids know them. Then Matorif explains that the essence of these incantation is producing a temperature above or below zero that destroys matter. The secret is now to be able to combine those two. The result is a tremendeous incantation which destroys everything in its path. There are only three ways to stop it, says Matorif: One, counter it by invoking the same incantation, two, reflect it with Mahokanta, three, using a weapon that produces the same effect as Mahokanta. Poppu is really impressed by the power of the incantation and immediately wants to know how he can learn it. Matorif says there is only one way to learn it,... By countering it with the same incantation!!!!!

Poppu is shocked, he fears he'll never be able to counter it and at first wants to flee. Matorif is preparing his incantation. He invokes Mera with his leftt hand and Hyado with his right one. Then he joins his hands and then forms a magic bow. Poppu is prepared to flee but notices that Matorif is bleeding somewhat from his mouth. He then realizes that Matorif is forcing himself especially for him instead of staying in bed. This is not just a meaningless trial, it's really important!!! Matorif releases the bow. Now Poppu is the only one who can stop the incantation. He does the same thing as Matorif and concentrates Mera and Hyado in his hands and at first manages to block the incantation but suddenly his right hand begins to burn. Matorif remembers that Poppu has always been better to invoke Mera than Hyado, he asks Poppu to concentrate more energy in his right hand. Poppu shouts and the only thing Matorif can see is a light flash...
