While Fly and Baran were fighting against Hadora, Hyunkel woke up and wanted to go to the Soil of Death to fight. But Eimi had hidden his spear. Hyunkel nevertheless walked to the seashore trying to get to the Soil of Death. But Eimi followed him asking not to go there. Hyunkel explained he is fighting to pay for the errors he commited in the past, it is is only "repentir". Suddenly his weapon appeared. Eimi couldn't believe her eyes as she had hidden the spear deep in the woods. Hyunkel walked towards his spear, but Eimi ran after him and then revealed to Hyunkel that she loves him. Hyunkel takes his spear and "revet" his armor. He says to Eimi that it is the first time that he revealed his feelings to someone else, but it is better for her to forget him. Hyunkel leaves Eimi alone and goes to the Soil of Death.
Baran tries to take the malefic nucleus out of Hadora's body before Ban can intervene but suddenly Myst appears! Hadora asks Myst if like Ban he came to dispose of him like we dispose of a puppet. Myst answers, as always, that he gives priority to the orders of Ban. Baran says to Myst that he can't be defeated now, that it is too late. Myst says that he can destroy them without moving his hands. He asks the permission of Ban to take off his cape. Ban nods and says it's allright. Then Mysts takes of his cape and again, like when he was in Papunika, a great energy is released. For the first time we can see the appearance of Myst!!!
Myst uses his combative spirit to activate the malefic nucleus. Baran is astonished! Normally, his dragonic aura of hybrid being should have countered every incantation, unless Ban himself came to activate the nucleus!!! But then ... Myst's real identity is... "Don't search that far,",says Myst, "within a few minutes you'll be gone, as you have seen my face, I can't let you alive!!". Myst disappears saying farewell to Baran and Hadora.
The malefic nucleus is activated and nothing can stop it now. Baran realizes this and tries to concentrate all his dragonic aura to minimize the effects of the explosion.On the surface, Fly's friends realized that something terrible will happen, but it is too late! The Soil of Death disappears in a great flash.
Myst has returned next to Ban's trone and has again his cape on. Ban compliments him for the job. Everything has vanished, everything except the Ban Palace. But Ban perceives something unusual. The rocks falling in the water after the explosion are to numerous. He orders to the malefic eyes to search for survivors. And indeed the disciples of Aban survived the explosion.
Poppu flies in the air with Rura to overview the Ban Palace: what he sees is gigantic. A huge fortress in the form of a bird is floating in the sky! It's something against which man can't fight! He returns on the Palace to inform his friends. It seems that the gigantic structure is made from an ultralight material that is controled by the malefic power of Ban. Then they notice that smoke is coming out of the head of the Palace. The explosion must have been there! They go there with Poppu's Rura. They see the door that Baran and Fly forced. They get into the hall and find Fly and Baran.
When Fly wakes up he asks his friends if his father succeeded. But they are all looking down. Fly then tries to find out what happened by looking around and then sees his father transformed into his hybrid form. Apparently, Baran has used all of his dragonic aura, by using DORU AURA to save Fly from the explosion. Baran falls down and regains his human form. Fly asks Fuam to invoke Hoimi, but it is too late, Baran has no force anymore and healing spells only work on people who have some energy. Baran asks his son too come closer and take his hand because he can't see anymore. Fly can't believe his father will die, his a dragon knight, the strongest being in the world. But Baran says that he's not the real dragon knight, he has his strength and magical powers but not his heart. Fly has the heart of a real dragon knight. "Be strong my son, be strong,... live... live...". Krokodin tells Fly to shout "daddy" as hard as he can. "Daddy, daddy". Baran the dragon knight is dead. But suddenly Baran's spirit enters Fly's body. In a moment Fly feels all the emotions that Baran had hidden to him before, particularly his love for his son! Then Fly sees his father before him. "We will never be separated, I will always be with you in your next battles. Beat Ban, the god of darkness!!"
Krokodin says to Fly that no word can console him, but that they are all with him. But they can't stay inactive, they have to continue because they are on the territory of the enemy. Poppu can't believe his ears, he says they should withdraw and respect the mourning of Baran's death. But Hyunkel says he understands the feelings Fly has (remember that Hyunkel too lost his father Brutus when he was a child), but if Baran made this sacrifice it is to beat Ban. Then Fly says too Poppu that it's allright that his father is there in his soul and that he will continue to fight. Poppu bursts into tears and hugs Fly, telling him that he will follow him everywhere, after all they only have to kick Ban's butt!"Fufufu... You really go a little hard there... Better say it to Ban himself". Kilvan and Myst appeared. "Bend youself, Ban the god of darkness visits us", says Myst. Suddenly a black vortex forms and we can see the silhuet of a person taking form. The strength radiated by this person is enormous. Ban came in person to fight against the disciples of Aban. Our friends are all anxious except for Poppu who thinks it will be easier than he thought at first, what was that a senile old man making an apparition? But when Poppu looks on his friends faces, he doesn't seem to find the support he searched. "Fufu...", says Kilvan again,"from all of you the most shocked are certainly Hyunkel and Krokodin!". Poppu asks Kilvan what brings him to this conclusion. Kilvan answers: "They have the same expression as Hadora when he saw Ban for the first time."
Ban asks Kilvan not to vex them. Ban proposes a favour to his first invitees: he will fight without Myst and Kilvan, he only does this once in a century. Our friends are decided to fight against him even if he fought with Myst and Kilvan. But before the battle starts Ban says he shouldn't forget Baran who courageously fought like in the legend. He should have worth funerals. Ban traces a line in the air and our friends can see a very tiny flame moving towards Baran's body. Suddenly Poppu shouts protect youself it's Merazoma. A gigantic flame column burns Baran's corpse. Fly is enraged and dashes towards Ban, but Ban only uses one hand to strike Fly and Fly lies immediately on the ground. Our friends are astonished, but Poppu reacts and tries to counter the Merazoma of Ban with his while Fuam heals Fly. But the tiny flame of Ban resists to Poppu's Merazoma and burns Poppu. Poppu survived thanks to the new clothes the princess gave him, but they have entirely burned. Poppu can't believe that Ban's Merazoma is that strong. But Ban says it is not Merazoma but only Mera. Poppu thinks he's bluffing. But Ban prepares his real Merazoma. It has the form of a bird and because of this it is called KAISER PHOENIX. He throws his incantation to them, but Hyunkel tries to resist with his armor, but Ban already prepares a second one!!
Our friends who are "captured" in the gigantic flames of Ban's incantations understand that the only way to defeat Ban is to attack all together now. Hyunkel, Fuam and Krokodin rush on Ban but Ban counters every attack, but when he wants to finish them, Poppu shouts to him, he prepared Medoroa. But Ban invokes Mahokanta and counters Poppu's attack. Poppu quickly invokes Medoroa a second time to neutralize the first one but uses so much magic power that he won't be able to invoke it a third time. Hyukel realizes Ban's incantations are spontaneous wich permits him to attack and defend himself at the same time, while they are only attacking. Poppu decides to flee with the rest, he realizes that Ban was overestimating them at first but that in fact he's really too strong for them. They all gather and then Poppu invokes Rura to get back to the base. But he hits something and they all fall down."Did you ignore this?... You will never escape of the darkness god!!".
