[]Green Berry Holder and Briscoe Holder had an argument following Briscoe's mistreatment of Penelope Sword Holder. He "Ran him off", according to an account from Sarah Edith Weatherly Morgan.
Emma Dale Holder was notified when Briscoe died, sometime in the 1920s. She sent money for his burial. Edith's recollection was that he died in Chicago, Illinois.

They raised their children there in a home on Bluff Road they jokingly called "Bunker Hill." They had a beautiful home in Rome, Georgia. The stairway was solid mahogany. Nita Elizabeth Weatherly, Sarah Edith Weatherly and Caroline Penelope Weatherly were all born in this house. Penelope Sword Holder died in this house the night after Caroline Penelope Weatherly was born.
Green Berry Holder was on his way to visit his son, Walton, and his family in Mebance, North Carolina in the summer of 1914. He was taken ill in Atlanta and some of his family had to travel there to take him home. He died soon thereafter.
