MUFFET, FLAIR, BRANDY AND GINGER
ALL SHARED THEIR LIVES WITH AMY
Little Miss Muffet. In this picture we are both about eight years old. My parents got her from a neighbor when she was four weeks old and I was six months. Best first dog a family could ever have. She forgave us all our mistakes and loved us totally. Went to the bridge in 1962.
This is Flair, Lady Flair of Sheridge, my second collie and first heart dog. She took me from a ten year old kid to a 20 year old - whatever! She got me through some rough years and taught me what class and dignity were all about. She was the smartest dog I have ever know, and the gentlest. What you can't see in this picture are the other two kittens and the two hamsters who were also on the bed! I'll miss her for the rest of my life.
This is Brandy, Amy's Apricot Brandy, my first golden. She was a sweet, wonderful, intelligent girl, who permanently made me a golden lover. She lived 12 wonderful years and has been waiting for us, especially my Dad, at the bridge since 1986. This picture was taken in San Diego, at Fiesta Island, an off leash area where she could swim to her heart's content. I know there are beaches at the bridge for my wonderful surfer girl, who loved to ride the waves and would bring back anything you could throw!
And here's Ginger, my second golden and second heart dog. She was also my first rescue and sold me on rescues forever! She was our "first child" and I will never ever forget her. She was beautiful and brave and loved everybody (except kitties in her back yard!) We helped her to the bridge in November 1997 with tears and heartbreak. Wait for us at the bridge, Gingerpoof, we love you and miss you!

"SUNSHINE"
(September Morn' Sunshine - aka/"Pup")
5/01/90 to 5/25/98 Memorial Day
"There are places I'll remember All my life though some have changed Some forever not for better Some have gone and some remain All these places have their moments With lovers and friends I still can recall Some are dead and some are living In my life I've loved them all.
But of all these friends and lovers There is no one compares with you And these memories lose their meaning When I think of love as something new Though I know I'll never lose affection For people and things that went before I know I'll often stop and think about them In my life I love you more In my life I love you more.
- "In My Life" (Lennon/McCartney)
Sunshine you were beyond my best friend. I always whispered in your ear near bedtime (when Dad couldn't hear).."Go to sleep - Mommy loves you, so does Jesus." And then I'd say "I love you ALWAYS." (well before the Always pin I now wear in your honor was even thought of) I am sure you knew that love, but now you feel all the love up there. Thank you, for making my life SHINE for 8 years. We love and miss you. The cats send purrs - and they miss you so much too. You are the distant star I wish upon. I love you ALWAYS Pup. Be happy, kiss Aunt Barb and the rest of the family for me until we all meet again." This week (April 19th) I will be sprinkling a 1/3 of your ashes in the river we loved to play in, in the Blue Ridge MTs of NC..the Oconaluftee. Last year we put 1/3 in Lake Michigan in Ludington MI....a place you loved as much as I did. The last 1/3 of your ashes will be where I know you were happiest: with ME. And when I die, our ashes will be mixed together and we will be in Lake Michigan together again.
AUNT DONNA ONLY LIKE ME BECAUSE MY HAIR MATCHES YOURS' AND DEXTERS =)

"Jock"
- Jockos Golden SheenosApril 30, 1983 - June 9, 1996
Jock (also affectionately known as Sport) was our best friend and loyal companion for 13 wonderful years. He won our hearts from the first moment we saw him. In his true "golden" way, Jock's sweet personality and eagerness to please made him everyone's friend. We still miss him so much; he will always hold a special place in our hearts.
