LORI, MELODY,GILLY , BEREN AND JUNIOR

Saratoga’s Jolly Lothlorien CDX, WC, Can CD (major ptd US): Lori, our first Golden, greatly loved and sorely missed. Lori was one of the great ones, always willing to please regardless of what was required of her. Her Only area of discontent was the breed ring. She just thought it was the silliest thing she had ever seen and found joy only in racing around the ring the first time. After that she figured it was done so what was the point?

Even so she managed to earn a major, owner handled. But put her in the obedience ring, in the field or in a tracking harness and things were different. She loved to perform and have her picture taken, a true ham even till the end. With a beautiful head and expression and a temperament to match we couldn't have asked for a better girl. Our lives are diminished by her loss.

Lothlorien's Galadriel's Song: I was proud to have bred and owned Melody. She was a beautiful, showy and gentle dog. Earning her Canadian wins quickly and easily, she went on to win Best Puppy In Show. She had many puppy class wins including at Lenape Golden Retriever Club in the 9-12 month class. Her career was cut short by her untimely loss. She is much missed, her name fit her and she was all we could have hoped for and more.

Gilly was our first stud dog and he lives on in his kids who include numerous champion and obedience titled dogs. He excelled in balance, angulation, structure and coat with great attitude. He was a loving pet whose silly attitude earned him the nickname "Silly Gilly". He is sorely missed.

Can Ch. Edgecombe Lothlorien Beren CD,WC, Can CD, US ptd: Beren was our 2nd Golden and what a dog he was. A true triple purpose dog, he excelled in all aspects of breed, obedience and field. No one could beat this dog on a retrieve and he was defeated only by a Borzoi on his day trying lure coursing! With a true Golden temperament, Beren was classified by friends as a "person". His greatest joy, outside of being with his people was a tennis ball and retrieving which he would do for as long as your throwing arm held out. Miss you Ber.

Ch Twin-Beau-D's Junior: 7/22/89-11/12/98

Junior finished in few shows, with 3 majors, owner handled for all but 2 of his majors. Junior was the #1 LIGRC dog for 1994 and the winner of the LIGRC BOB, Fella and Margo trophies. He lives on in his numerous children including numerous titled dogs in conformation, obedience, field and service areas. His puppies are very intelligent and carry his loving, gentle temperament. Junior was a true gentleman and a wonderful companion in life, he is truly missed.
