? Answered There is only one Susan Kenny who married Dyke then married Amos.

Other version of the name is DIKE

Thanks to Carolyn Johnson who has straightened out a lot of my confusion. She is a godsend.

This Amos is the son of Jacob and Priscilla not John

Notes for SUSAN KENNY:

Carolyn Johnson provided the following info-She has researched the Grass family for over 15 years.

MAY HAVE BEEN BORN IN 1793 states she was over 100 yrs old at time of death.

Was also known as Susan Dike/Dyke(1st Marriage)

1860 Census 56 yrs old born 1804

1870 Census(provided by Cheri Borromeo)

On the 1870 census "Susan Grass" is living with Caroline McMann

Johnston as an "infirm"

or invalid age 70. This makes her born 1800.

This makes me think that Caroline is also a daughter of Susan because then it would make sence for her to be in this family group. There is no other close family connection.

This is from Carolyn Johnson

Eliza and Caroline COULD be sisters. I'll tell you what little I have

on the Dyke /Dike family. Seward and Susan had at least 3 children bet

their marr in 1818 and his death in 1824. One was Susan, one was a

child who died young and the other was a female. The family was living

in NB so I presume that's where the children were born. Since our

records show that Caroine was b in 1822 in NB, she COULD be that girl,

but I have no proof.

>From the Ft Fairfield, ME newspaper I have the following: (dateline

31-Jan-1893): Mrs. Susan Grass, who has been living with her daughter

Mrs. Dean between Andover and the boundaryline, passed away on Friday.

She was the oldest woman in that part of the county. She celebrated her

100th birthday last April and has grandchildren who are grandmothers.
