A letter from Tommy, Sep. 10,1999 Things here are good..here is something that I will probably put in my newsletter, but I have been sharing it with some people because it is to good to hold back: Last night was amazing as we teached english to one of our classes...God came up and the initated it in a round about way..It was so Awsome!! The Holy Spirit was there!! As we were teaching the question came up about the word "holiday" and how it was different than just a day off of work..so from that we were able to share the word HOLY and we shared about how we saw God as Holy..it didn't stop there, as our conversation continued we spoke about church and the Bible, we even got our Bibles out and greg had them repeation John 3:16 after him. It was increadible..!! Greg also had the opportunity to share a small testimony because they asked him how long he had been reading the Bible. Greg went on to share with them that the Bible was life and not rules and obligations! Then I shared that we didn't see it as a religion but as a relationship with God!! What is amazing is that they initated all the questions and they were hanging on our every word!! One lady might even go to church with us!! The class also decided that they wanted to have more conversations and less studing from the english book..GOD IS MOVING!!! The whole night was simply God and nothing of us..greg and I had prayed as we drove to the class that night and confessed our fears of man and our lack of wisdom on how to speak of Jesus in the english class -GOD IS FAITHFUL!! Greg and I just sat and smiled at each other in amazement the whole class period, only to leave by giving the president of the company a Bible and praising Jesus as we pulled out of the parking lot. God is so Good!! Pray that this would happen in all our classes that we teach!! We are so thankful for the opportunity that HE gave us last night!!!!
