implementation of safe working practices.
The contents of this statement include the following:
- Distribution and delegation
- Information available to all staff
- Training to establish standards
- Safety Systems of work identifying risks and implementing control
- Design - to ensure use of current specifications and technical information taking into account the Health, Safety and Welfare
of installers, users and maintainers
- Plant and Equipment - maintaining and instructing staff
- Protective Clothing, Safety Appliances and Equipment
- Accident Reporting and Information
- First Aid
- Safety Inspections
The Local Policy Statement is briefed to all staff, and is reviewed and modified regularly. |
A Project Safety Plan will be produced that details particular safety arrangements to ensure compliance
with each Your Local Safety Strategy for any Project.
This Plan will encompass the following:
- The role and safety responsibilities of each position within the project team
- Co-ordination and liaison arrangements
- Risks and standards for each work package identifying risk areas, level of risk and control measures.
- Organization and delegation within the project team.
- Resourcing ensuring that staff used are suitably trained and competent.
- Communication system relating to both upwards and downward flow of safety information.
- Training and staff to ensure that all staff will be competent to discharge their Health and Safety responsibilities, and
be suitably certified.
- Monitoring to maintain the effectiveness of the Safety Plan throughout the life of the Project.
