The motorcycle is the ultimate machine for enjoyment made by man! I love to travel the country on my bike because of the feeling of freedom it gives me. On it I be come one with my surroundings; I feel the wind, feel the heat or cold, feel the rain, smell the wild flowers ( or cow manure as the case may be ). You are part of nature; not just passing through, oblivious to everything, surrounded by every creature comfort known to man. You actually use your five senses, rather then doing your best, and spending a fortune, trying to numb them! If you camp out the experience is doubled; you get both night and day to enjoy it! Listening to the sounds of the night; the wind, the animals ( maybe the rain ); huddled under the sleeping bag with your better half to keep warm.. It's the way God meant man to live!

I've ridden just about every motorcycle you can name during my forty-three years of riding, from BMW to Yamaha and owned most of them! My ride at this time of my life is a 1992 Harley Heritage Softtail.

It is also a relatively cheap way to travel. My bike gets 50 MPG and the money I save on gas and motel bills buys some pretty good food. I love my bike!!!!!! More on traveling by motorcycle at: Charlie's Place 2
