TITANIC NEWS

Titanic's latest addition to its range is a (long overdue) dark Mild (3.5%). In the past Lifeboat (3.9%) has occupied the 'mild' slot in the brewery's portfolio, but there has always been a gap for genuine mild.

The seasonal brews are proving very popular, and to satisfy demand the brewery has invested to increase its brewing capacity. October's seasonal beer is Last Porter Call (4.7%), which is described as being a 'genuine' porter, as it is less dry than stout whilst still having a full-bodied taste.

For November, a beer from the Shugborough range makes a reappearance Triumphal Arch (4.4%), named after one of the neo-classical monuments on the Shugborough estate, is a light, hoppy, thirst quenching beer 'which has proved very popular in the past.

PUB CHANGES

Its all change at the two Titanic tied houses at the moment, with The Stafford Arms, Stafford, being sold to Punch Taverns, albeit with Titanic securing a beer supply agreement to the pub, and licensee Mark Sedwick leaving the Bull's Head in Burslem. Already the beer range in the Burslem pub has increased.
