5 th Day |

After Breakfast, and
perhaps take a look around. Douz is considered to be "the door to the desert",
and thus is a major market place for the nomads of the Sahara, coming from the
outlying oases to sell their goods. On market days, Douz's maze of narrow
streets is almost impenetrable for all the souks and bartering crowds. Quite a
site to behold. Also, every December, for the entire month, Douz hosts the
Festival of the Desert. This year's activities are sure to be special. Once
again, exact details will be posted as soon as they become available.
After it you will
have 60 mn to chose you camel and discover with it the Dune
The Adventure will
continu, However, for those who can't
resist the urge to explore, Camp Pansea offers a wide range of activities,
ranging from balloon rides (which offer stunning aerial views of
the camp and surrounding desert) to Carting rides. Or
you can get to know more about the region in the camp's media library.
Interestingly, this is where many scenes from The English Patient were filmed, and the
library does have a copy of the film, as well as others (Casablanca, Star
Wars) that were shot in the Tunisian desert. And lastly, there is
always
the natural, warm, clear water which bubbles up
endlessly from the nearby underground spring.
Daytime/nighttime temperatures vary widely in the Sahara, especially in the
winter months, and this natural bath was a welcome, and soothing,
surprise.
After it departure to Khemaissa Relax Center, This night is dedicated to Berber Life
