Nitro, WV October 8th!
So you want to find out about some information on Drew? Of course, that's why your reading this right now is it not? We recently had a chance to set down and talk with him, (actually, he did most of the talking) and asked him a few questions.

Q. We saw your new character at Nitro Community Center on Oct. 8th, & we noticed a lot of significant changes. How
do you describe the changes to the Kyd Dynomite character?
A. "I've always said that Dynomite is a very powerful reflection of my own personality. It's basically who I am, just turned up ten
notches. This new Kyd Dynomite however, has been really turned up; from ten notches to like twenty five! Plus, I've been told
his clothing is a lot more "hip"! (chuckles) He still loves working the crowd, & having fun with the fans. But he's also more well-
rounded in the other areas as well. The in-ring ability has improved drastically, & his persona has been more well defined. I
really love the whole change."
Q. Let's talk about your "in-ring" that you mentioned. This previous match, you are calling your best match ever. After
watching the tape, I would agree. Tell me what your mental & physical preparation was going into this match, &
what is was like being in the ring with you & your opponent.
A. "This was definitely the best match I've ever worked in, bar none! It was also the most technical match I've ever worked.
Basically, I had been coming out of a divorce, & my whole life was changing. Everything around me, from my job to my home
life. I was taking a step up in the right direction, & with Dynomite being my reflection, I wanted to portray these very changes in
my character. So that is the reason for the big change. That was why I started training again, working out on a regular basis, &
trying to lose my excess weight. I was weighing 193 lb.. when I left the ring over the summer, & now I'm down to 167 lb.. That's
almost 30 lb. lost. With all this exercise & fitness training, I wanted to go into my next match 100%, & give the fans a 100%
performance. My friend Lance (Lonewolf Lance Roberts) had always talked about wrestling me, so I said "sure, why not". I
knew between the two of us, we could put on a pretty decent match. So we sat down & talked & decided that we would go to
Nitro, & wrestle each other as friends. Just two guys who have come out to put their all into a very entertaining match for the
fans. We were basically challenging each other & ourselves to see how far we could push our bodies, in order to put on one of
the best independent technical matches around. No big story line to write & work around, just two friends who wanted to see
just how much they could ask of their bodies. We wanted the crowd to appreciate the technical & in ring abilities that we were
fortunate enough to show, & they did. In wrestling, they've always been referred to as "getting a pop". That night, we got an
"Applause", which is something neither of us expected. And after the match, when we walked back into the locker room, all the
other wrestlers were standing there, waiting to shake our hand as we came in. Talk about an emotional high, aside from my
daughter being born, I don't think I've ever been so proud. Lance really put his heart into the whole match, just as I had done, &
everybody from the fans to the other wrestlers in the back saw & appreciated that. It was just too awesome for me too describe."
Q. How has things changed as far as your personal life is concerned?
A. "Well, things have gotten a whole lot better. I think that after being at the bottom for so long, you finally wake up one day &
realize that you have no where else to go but back up to the top again. For me, I think I was about as far down as I could have
been. Although I never even realized it; I never ever thought about like that. I mean, I would just wake up everyday, & wonder
"how was my life going to change today?". I refused to look at certain situations from a positive point of view. Basically, too sum
it up, the problem was that my perception of the whole situation was wrong. I mean, my divorce had left me feeling beaten, &
weakened emotionally, because I felt like I was losing my daughter in the whole mess. I felt like the end was near of whatever
future I might have had left with my little girl. It wasn't until I decided it was time for a change in my wrestling character, that I
noticed I had changed my perception of my own personal life. I was looking at the whole situation in a completely different light.
It wasn't just the end of something old, but it was also the beginning of something new. And I was able to really bring about that
change in my personal life, using my wrestling character.
Q. So tell us what we can look for & expect from Kyd Dynomite in the
months to come.
A. "Honestly, I can't tell you because I don't know myself. Like I said, we've
always tried to make each match better & better, & more entertaining than the
last one. Nitro was the biggest & best match of my career. I'm not really sure
how we're going to be able to top that. I guess we'll cross that bridge when we
come to it. In the mean time, we're going to start now, planning, organizing, &
getting prepared for when we do have our next show, that way nobody will leave
unsatisfied, & everyone will have gotten their moneys worth.
