2. Nightly bowling fees will be $10.00 per person.  Fees are to be collected by the team Captain and turned into the bowling center before the end of the first game.
 Exception: Match Play League.

3. Each team is responsible to pay $50.00 (Friday Mixed $40.00; Match Play) every week regardless of their absence on a particular week.

4. There will be 4 points per night composed of 1 point per game and 1 point for total pinfall.  If there is a tie in the score, then each team will receive ½ point.
 Exception: Match Play League.

5. Handicaps will be based on 80% of the difference between the bowlers average and a base figure of 225.  There will be no negative handicaps.  New bowlers will start with a 150 average for women and 175 for men for their first night.

6. Bowlers must bowl 60% of the regular league schedule available to them to be eligible for league prizes, including pre-bowls.

7. In order to participate in play-offs bowlers must bowl a minimum of 12 games in that league.

8. Teams may not pick up more than two (2) spares for any given night of bowling.

9. In the Mixed Team Leagues each team must have at least one man and one woman.  Monday Mixed League can be 5 women/ 5 men or mixed.

10. If a team does not have the required number of bowlers then the team handicap is determined by using the highest average/s of the absent bowlers.  Scores for the absent bowlers will be 90% of their average.

11. Teams will alternate lanes after each frame during a game and each bowl one frame, at a time, in regular rotation.  The next game always starts on the lane that you finished on in the previous game.  Bowlers cannot start another frame until their anchor bowler has finished.

12. The foul line rule is to be observed at all times.  The indicator light or buzzer does not have to go off in order for a foul to have been committed.

 "A foul is committed when any part of the bowler's person, wearing apparel or foreign object originating from the bowlers person, comes in contact with the lanebed, foul line, channels, ball return or portion of the equipment or building which are on the line with or extend beyond the foul line, during or after the act of delivering a ball, providing the ball is released." (Rule #14 C5PBA rule book).

13. Late bowlers may catch up in any particular game if they turn up before the end of the second frame.  Otherwise they are considered absent and 90% of their average will be used as their score for that game.  Note: Bowlers may catch up if the other team agrees.

14. Teams or individuals may pre-bowl league games if it is absolutely necessary, but approval from the league executive is required and a Pre-bowl form must be filled out.  Pre-bowled scores are not eligible for individual awards and do not count toward averages.

15. If one team does not show then the other team must bowl 95% of their total game team average to obtain a point for that game.

16. Teams missing two (2) consecutive bowling nights, without good reason, may be dropped from the league and will forfeit all rights.

17. All bowling will be conducted in a pleasant, orderly, and sportsmanlike manner, bearing in mine that all bowlers are out to have an enjoyable evening.

18. If a person continually breaks the rules, he/she may be expelled from the Association and forfeit all rights and privileges.

19. All complaints or protests are to be made to the team captains who in turn will present them to the League Secretary and the Association Executive.

20. The Official Rules and Regulations of 5 Pin Bowling, contained in the "Canadian 5 Pin Bowlers' Association Rule Book" will be used to cover any situation not covered in the above rules.

21. All Hay River 5 Pin Bowlers' Association Executive must be a holder of a Canadian 5 Pin Bowler Association card.

22. All teams are required to pay a team registration fee. $30.00 for four (4) person teams and $35.00 for five (5) person teams.

23. Minimum age for adult leagues is 16.

24. Pre-bowled games may be banked (maximum of six) and they must be used in order they were bowled. If you wish to pre-bowl more than six games you must specify dates that pre-bowls will be used for.  If banked games are not  used up by the end of the season they are lost.

25. If the same team winning both halves, the second place team will be the team with the most aggregate points for the season excluding the first place team.

1. Make sure that the required number of bowlers are present each night of bowling.

2. Make sure that your team is bowling on the proper lane.

3. Collect the money from the team members and turn the money into the bowling center before the end of the first game.

4. Make sure that all your bowlers follow the rules and advise them of infractions.

5. Write down the names, averages, and handicaps of the bowlers on the summary sheet and calculate the team handicap.  If players change from game to game the handicap must be recalculated at each change.

6. Total up the scores at the end of the night and determine the points earned and sign the summary sheet.  Please turn in the score sheet and summary sheet to the bowling center.

  The use of personal bowling balls is at the bowler's own risk.  The proprietor shall not be liable for any damages to personal bowling balls.

  Any balls placed on the ball rack may used by any bowler, but it is proper etiquette not to use someone else's bowling balls unless asked.

  Bowlers may not hold up the game by waiting for their personal balls to return.  If your ball has not returned when it has come to your turn, please use a house ball.
