Alan has played Sweeper/Central Defender for the German All Stars for the past few seasons where he has proven himself to be a most reliable player.
Alan is a man of many talents, not only was he last seasons Player of the Year, but is also a seasoned guitar player, playing support to such esteemed acts as Teletubbies and Barney the Dinosaur (or whatever was showiing on childrens television that afternoon).
A reputation for scoring own-goals preceeds him, yet he has not scored one in over 2 years. Obviously he will now score a barrel-load.
"The Mouse," as he is affectionately known to no one, no longer takes the team bus as his turbo-charged 7 mouse-power car takes him wherever he wants to go -- as long as it's not up a hill.
