GAS - INTRODUCTION

The German All-Stars are an amateur football team based in Hong Kong. None of the players are German, or stars. (in a footballing sense)

Last year saw the season start with several resounding wins, the most notable being the 5 - 2 thrashing of Boca Seniors, who eventually won the league, and the 4 - 1 cup drubbing of First Division side Hearts of the Jump. Unfortunately a long series of draws in mid-season saw the German's falter, and by the time they got back to winning ways the well organised Golden Eagles has caught up and overtaken.

Getting back to the necessary 2nd spot proved to much, with the Germans finishing a disappointing third in the league. However, third place proved good enough with an opening becoming available due to a side from the First Division bowing out, and the Germans sneaking their way back to where they should have arrived several months ago comfortably.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of Hong Kong life the Germans go into the new season without several of their mainstay players. Stuart Steele, Bruce Shek and Eden were all first team players for several years who will not be returning next year. However, that does not mean the Germans are without players who can, on their day, play great football.
