German's 2 (0) Haneef's Friends 3 (1)
Moitt (2)

Haneef organised a friendly with his friends and the German's at the convenient time of just after the season had finished, and during the middle of the World Cup, which resulted in few players being available, and the one's that were being too hung-over to play.

Stephen Harris
Mark Stevens
Bill Moitt
Chris Park
Nick Park
Haneef Mohamed
Rick Curtis (Trialist)

The remainder were made up of players from the other side and a few dodgy footballers of unknown origin. The game itself was pretty dire, but what I do remember is:

Haneef actually doing a bit of running and playing quite well - he obviously had his friends to impress.

Stephen Harris, that's me, letting in a soft third goal at my near post.

Bill Moitt scoring two surprising goals which can only be explained by the fact Bill never came off at half time and at the start of the second half still thought he was in his comfy and snug right back position. He still maintains that his two goals were attempted returns to the keeper.

And that's it really. The German's never deserved to win and the "Trialist" was promptly dispatched back to Squadron were he is played as an "utility player" - and we all know what that means.

In fact the only reason that this game is even being mentioned is because Bill's been harping on so much about his two goals, how he is top scorer, and how he should be top of the scorer's chart that I've put it in to shut the whining git up.

Also, I quite liked the idea of having a "1" next to my name in the Appearances Table at least once this season.
