Just Getting Started?
Kart racing takes :
If you've never heard of kart racing then you're missing out on a lot of fun. This sport is fairly inexpensive and a blast. The first thing you should do when starting out is look in your area and find out where the closest karting tracks are. Then start shopping for a frame or chassis. This is the heart of the go-cart. There are many good brands that I would recommend. A Phantom kart is what I race and I have had no problems. Legend frames and ultramax make good racing chassises. You can decide how you want to buy your kart. You can buy it in a race ready package or in different parts. For example, you could save up and buy the chassis, then the tires, motor, and anything else needed. You need to shop around for a good engine builder who can give you the horse power you want. Then you are ready to go to the track. Try to get some practice laps before you go racing. It won't take long and you'll have the hang of it. Good luck!
Everyone has to start somewhere. I loved riding go-carts with my friends around my house. I enjoyed going mudding after it rained. Before I knew it, I became interested in the possibility on racing one. Now I am and it is one of the funnest things I've ever done.
This is a picture of me with my friends.I am about 11 yrs old. I am on a 3 acre lot and I always have enjoyed go-carts.
