GENERAL RULES

1. The Board of Directors will have the option to cut classes and or shorten the pulling track in order to save time. These options will only be used when a time limit is imposed for the program

2. The sled operator has the option to incorporate the floating finish line when possible.

3. Shifting gears either hydrostatic, automatic, or gear type, is permitted as long as forward motion of the sled does not stop.

4. Once hooked to the sled, there are no substitutions of machines for that class. If a machine breaks before hooking up you may:.... Pull with another machine .... Hook to the sled without attempting to move for 5 points, or if you can move the sled you will get place points.

5. Only 2 drivers per machine per class. Driver may enter not more than 2 machines per class. Members can only receive the points from 1 machine and must specify which machine will receive the points when they register. That decision cannot be changed.

6. Foot or hand throttles are acceptable but with no wires, chains, strings, or tarp straps.

7. No turbos, superchargers, or blowers in any class except Open-02, Open-03, and Open-04.

8. No unit can register until it has been checked by tech personnel. No changes can be made to the machine after teching except weight changes or minor adjustments. Otherwise a second tech check is necessary.

9. When registering you are to fill out your entry form and hand it to the girls at the table. You are NOT to roll the dice until after you have handed your form to the girls and they are watching you roll. If you roll before the girls are watching you, you must roll again.

10. No nitrous oxide or pressurized gas tanks in any class. Electric fuel pumps are allowed but must be connected to a kill plug.

11. No alcohol in any class except the open classes. (YOU MUST NOTIFY TRACK PERSONNEL.)

12. Driver is considered disqualified when any part of machine touches the boundary lines. Boundary lines will be extended 20' beyond the full pull line and a foul cannot occur after that line.

13. No portion of the machine my interfere with sled hook-up or un-hook.

14. All power must be transmitted through rear wheels.

15. Every puller has 2 minutes after the sled returns to it?s staging position to hook to the sled and make an attempt to pull. You may not drop because of breakage. (Refer to rule #4)

16. First puller in every class will have the option of taking that pull or coming back in 4^th position unless puller fouls.

17. Class can be restarted only after two machines have full-pulled. Class must be restarted if necessary, before the 6^th puller. In a restart, all machines pulled before the restart will drop to the end of the class and the next puller in the line-up is the first puller. The option to come back is eliminated. Class cannot be restarted after 50% of the class has been pulled.

18. Pullers have 2 attempts to move the sled if your first attempt does not exceed the 35' mark and you did not foul Your 2^nd attempt MUST be taken within 2 minutes after the sled returns. The machine may not leave the track before your 2^nd attempt. Once hooked to the sled and breakage occurs there will be no refunds issued. If the flagman forgets to tell the driver that he has a 2^nd attempt and the driver leaves the track, track personnel must allow the driver to re-enter the track for a 2^nd attempt.

19. 2 riders on the same machine or 1 person pulling 2 machines may drop 3 positions to separate.

20. In all pull-off situations, you only have 1 attempt to move the sled. If more than 1 person fouls in a pull-off, a reading will be taken where they fouled and places will be determined according to their reading. Once a pull-off is started everyone must pull before the sled can be re-weighted.

21. There will not be a yearly rules meeting. Then rules meetings will now be held every 3 years.

22. All rules are final and cannot be changed during the 3 year period unless voted on by a majority of members present at the meeting.

A protest of any unit MUST be submitted immediately after that class has pulled. It must be submitted in writing with a $50.00 deposit for the Open classes and a $30.00 deposit for all other classes. Completed protest forms along with deposit must be submitted to the pay-off person at the table. You MUST pull in that class to sign a protest. The tech committee will perform an inspection of the machine in question and determine which classes, if any, driver must forfeitSTRASBURG PULLERS has the right at any time to verify that a machine is legal. If found legal, STRASBURG PULLERS will reimburse for stock gaskets. If found illegal all points and money for the classes in which they are found illegal will be forfeited for that day. A puller can deny a tear down but then is assumed illegal. Illegal machines must be proven legal BEFORE further competition will be allowed.

No pay offs will be issued for any classes until the end of the event.
