This Rurouni Kenshin hero was once known as the Hitokiri Battousai, a revolutionary assassin who was instrumental in bringing about the Meiji era of Japan. When the new government proved that it was not what he had fought so hard for, Kenshin disappeared. Ten years later, he reappears as a peaceful wanderer who carries a reverse blade sword to insure that he will never take another life, atoning for his bloody past.
