More party photos...I can't remember where I was up to in the party story...once we'd all recorded songs - and it may have been hard getting everyone into teh sudio, but it was harder getting them out - we sat in teh O Bar for a while then headed back to my place. About an hour later the CD was ready and Jase and I collected it and after James had bolted home to collect his CD player (it wouldn't work on mine) I started the CD.
James, Jax and me, Katie
The next day I said to Krisz and Don that it was great how everybody volunteered to perform their songs on my makeshift staging area - they laughed cause I had forcably made everyone get up. It was lost of fun and of course I was very very tipsy by this stage! these are some of James' photos and there's more to come, as well as some of the performances from Karen's camera...

Ute & Sri LankaI am now on the phone to Ute in Stockholm, who is filling me in on the gossip...she is well, has bought a new car named Jean-Luc, and injured her ankle tripping on the pavement at Medborgplatsen. She fell down and is now limping...the reaction from the first man who came past was to to help her up but to say"You should tell the city of Stockholm about this". Then the next girl came past and asked Ute "Are you all right?" and Ute said "No" and the girl walked off, leaving Ute on the ground.
More pics from Sri Lanka...these are of ladies picking tea on a plantation near Ella.

And of the tea plantation...

I'll be more dedicated from now on since Ute says she has been checking the site every day! More of the Recording Studio party and Sri Lanka to come...

30th Birthday...A quick update, I know I've been slack but there's been a lot going on. The most exciting, my 30th party on Saturday night.
I hired a recording studio in Surry Hills and allocated everyone songs to sing which were recorded in the studio, and made into my 30th Birthday CD. Of course I started, with the champagne, in the studio at 3.00pm. Jax and I sang Especially for You (I was Kylie, she was Jason) and I should be so Lucky, followed by James who sang an ABBA favourite, Does You Mother Know, and Karen and Lush with the Pina Colada song - to get ours over with before everyone else turned up!
By 5pm everyone had arrived at OBar and made their way down in groups to record. Most were nervous, but loved being in the studio and at the end of their songs didn't want to get out. When we'd finished we all headed back to OBar for a few drinks, and then to my place for more drinking while we waited for the CD to be burnt by Josh our lovely recording bloke, who did get a little annoyed at me ringing him every five minutes to check if the CD was ready yet. Anyway, here's the photos I have, I'll write again soon, hopefully over the weekend, and update in more detail with more photos.
