Enshrouded by a veil of snow fine as lace.
Unnumbered tears have I shed, but no pity
Is given by the chill caress of snow ---
Only its burning cold against my cheek.
The sorrow in my heart has laid me low ---
The painful fire of my love leaves me weak ---
There is no cure for this ailment, my grief,
Save your love, which I can never have again.
