Character creation process:
1. Choose Race
Most people in the Liberty Commonwealth are one of the Ten Noble Races
, though Half-Elves are becoming increasingly common. Fauns are rarely ambitious enough to take the vow the PCs are required to take, and Half-Orcs are mistrusted.
2. Choose a class template
Most packages cost 20 points, though a magic using class may spend more if the player buys additional ranks of Magery. The disadvantages of a
character class template do not count towards the 20 points of disadvantages PCs in Shadowfall are allowed to pick.
3. choose attributes, advantages, disadvantages and quirks
There are two required disadvantages.
A 15 point Duty to Prince Claymore, and a 5 point Vow (Fight Against Shadowfall) 20 more points of disadvantages are allowed. At least 2 of a PC's 5 quirks must be defined at character conception. The point total for starting Shadowfall characters is 175 points.
4. present your finished character to a gm for approval
A GM can ask you to make changes to your character to
preserve overall Campaign balance. Acceptable source material for Shadowfall follows:
