This site's information was gathered by me from books that I have read that record Dragons as true creatures. Such as creature
categorization books from several hundred to a few thousand years ago. Also some of the information is based upon theories that
I have about how the Dragons could look, and how their bodies work. My theories are based upon my firm, although limited, grasp
of organic chemistry and anatomy. I hope to revise my theories later, when I have learned more about the workings of organisms
and more about Dragon records.
I have liked Dragons since I can remember. One of the reasons I like Dragons is because of their general size. A Common English
Dragon is roughly double the size of a Polar Bear, making it larger than the largest carnivore on the planet, and Common English
are not the largest species of Dragon. Something so huge and powerful, an Earth-bred juggernaut if you will, interests me. I'm
not sure why, but beings of overwhelming power appeal to me which is probably why I chose the Earth Dragon as my "familiar", a
symbol of power.
Another reason would be because of their variation. A Dragon can be as big as a mountain or as small as your palm, and yet they
are still a Dragon. A Dragon can be a carnivorous lord of the skies, or a plant-eating land walker and yet they are both Dragons.
It is actually a lot like Dinosaurs. A kind of creature which has many hundreds of different species, some are gigantic carnivores
and some are dog-sized herbivores. Dragons and Dinosaurs are extremely similar, if you stop and think about it. Although, I would
rather study Dragons because of the mystery shrouding them. If they turn out they are not nor have never been real, because there
is always that possibility, then this would also be very interesting to me. A fictional creature surviving tens of thousands of
years in the minds of billions of humans throughout Earth. If the existence of Dragons derives solely from our minds, this alone
attributes to their greatness if they can achieve immortality without physical presence.
I am a male of my species, for those of you who wonder. I live in the United States, which is about as specific as I will go. I
am of no religion. Although Druidism has interested me (for, perhaps, obvious reasons), any attempts at getting information have
been suppressed by the sheer lack of it where I live. My local librarian has given me many an evil-eye, even for checking out the
books which I drew some of the
Dragon stories on this site.
If anyone wishes to talk to me they can go on IRC. I use the Dal.net server and may be found in #elements. The channel has died,
and my friends dispersed, so usually I will be alone, sad I know.
