-Ahh, Pokmon is yet again hyping up totally, can't you feel it? What I mean by hyping up is, well, many releases. You may be wondering, releases? All I know about is Pokmon Yellow Version (AKA: Special Pikachu Edition). It is good Nintendo of America finally released it here in the US. But Nintendo of Japan has released the legend. Pokmon Gold & Silver Version...The version with 100 new Pokmon; and the old ones!
One hundred new Pokmon? Yes, Satoshi Tajiri really has a creative mind, doesn't he?
Since there is still more to know about Gold & Silver Version, this preview will only cover the basics. It's not gonna be one mega-long preview like those ANTs love to do.
Pokmon Gold & Silver is a phenomenon...It's unbelievable. Really folks, it is amazing. You've probably seen many good screenshots of the game. The graphics are, in my opinion, quite breathtaking for the Game Boy. I think Nintendo really outdid themselves on this one. The color is great too, you really won't have it as good without a Game Boy Color. It will also provide much better pictures of Pokmon from the back and front (in battles). That is one thing good about the Pokmon artists; they know how to do things good, then improve them.
Oh, I forgot to tell you why it's all happening (like, the story). I don't know the story very much, but I know it won't be with Ash. It will be someone totally different with a new attitude on trading. I'm also almost positive that the main Pokmon will not be Pikachu. It will be one of the new 100, no doubt.
Now onto more things related to the quality of the game. Graphics aren't anything folks...Trust me. The sound I really don't know about, but I'm sure it will be truly superb. The Pokmon will really say they're name, I know that much.
Gameplay (if you've payed attention, I've basically been going through the list of qualities in a game), is unlike any other Pokmon related game. Trust me, it beats Pokmon Stadium 1 and 2, remember, graphics aren't everything in a game. I'm not saying PokStadium is bad, just not as good as Gold & Silver.
Control will be the basics. Exactly like Red & Blue. Not much to say about that.
That concludes my preview ladies and gents. Keep checking out the PTL, because it's only getting better. I'm going to keep goin with my Killer Decks section, which will be made weekly. And the 'bag is doing great. Look for my next essay on Creativity with Pokmon decks, and the GB game. See ya next time.
