At the young age of five my mother married the man who was soon to become the devil in our lives. My stepfather, a drunken drug inflicted violent man. Even at the young age of five, on the day of their wedding no less, I was forced to spend time ALONE with his kin. There was no chance of help as I endured the violation my new "cousins" introduced me to.
But that was nothing compared to what the next 7 years were like. Sometimes, to this day, I still hear in my dreams the strangled cries for help from my mother as  he beat and raped her. I rember spending many nights locked in my closet so "I wouldn't make trouble". Even now at 25yrs old there are things that were done to me that I dont tell my mother. Thankfully, we finally got up the courage to leave him but on that day I made up my mind to leave also. And so, it started.
