* Ayame and Suzume * This is my 'shrine' dedicated to Ayame and Suzume. This page started when I was trying to find images of them to put in my High School freshman anthology. I couldn't find a page dedicated to them and I found this apalling. So I pushed aside the anthology, and built this shrine. Since then I have slowly added parts and destroyed parts. There use to be an MP3 of their song but alas! Fortunecity won't let me upload MP3s. Anyway! On with some actually semi-relevant information! Ayame and Suzume only appear in the anime, however just because they aren't in the manga doesn't mean they aren't great. They help a lot in developing Kenshin's character. They are the granddaughters of Dr. Genzai and they don't actually do much. They mostly the just play games at the dojo and eat there... Often times Kenshin is shown watching or playing with them. It helps to add to his image of a nice Rurouni as oppose to a heartless hitokiri. Suzume is the younger of the two and she tends to just repeats her older sister most of the time. They call Kenshin Ken-ni (Ken-brother).  Not only are these
two great they have a great image song!
Their image song is Shiroi Ichigo (White Strawberry) and if you ever have a chance to listen, I suggest you do. Its a happy sugary kid song. I wish I had an mp3 of it but fortunecity went around and deleted all my mp3 files...
