Connie West, Barbara Eden, Bob Hope, and Lee Greenwood on the hangar deck of the USS Midway during Bob's 1987 Christmas special. We were about a day and a half off the northeastern curve of Africa at the time.
Not long after Bob's show, the USS Midway ported in Kenya. I took 4 days of leave to go on safari around Mount Kilimanjaro. The above shot is me at the Shetani lava flow.
People do stupid things. This guy was just lucky that it was only his bag of food that this baboon snatched away.
