This page contains all the information you'll need on what's available for 1995 and newer Cavalier's and Sunfire's.

Intake
This is arguably the best mod for the dollar.

K&N Drop-In - The easiest of all the intake mods. Just replace the GM factory air filter element with the K&N. Hence the name "drop-in filter".

RK Sport - Replaces the factory air box and fenderwell resonator. Piping is made of plastic materials. Air filter resides in the driver's side fenderwell.

Mantapart - Same design as RK Sport, but includes replacement piping for the expansion chamber in front of the engine.

Weapon-R - Replaces the S-tube and factory air box. Air filter is attached to the end of a S-shaped aluminum pipe.

Ice Man - Same design as Weapon-R, except piping is made of heat-resistant plastic.

RS Motorsport - Replaces expansion chamber, S-tube, and factory air box. Aluminum piping is used, and the air filter sits in the engine compartment.

Pacesetter - Currently being designed. (checking release date)

Custom K&N - A K&N cone filter is attached to the end of the S-tube. The factory air box is removed.

Custom Cold Air - A cold air intake constructed by yourself.

Cat-back Exhaust
The faster the exhaust gasses leave the engine, the more efficient it is.

RK Sport - 2.25" system with dual tips exiting both sides of the rear bumper. There is only one muffler, though, which resides in the factory location.

Mantapart - 2.25" system with a single muffler and dual stainless tips.

Pacesetter - 2.25" system with a single muffler and 4" tip.

Muffler
This is only a very small list. Obviously, you can use any muffler you want.

Borla Turbo - Straight-through stainless design. Very little increase in noise over the factory muffler at idle. Low tone over 3000 RPM.

Dynomax Super Turbo - Chambered aluminized steel design. Good increase in noise over the factory muffler at idle.

Dynomax Ultraflow - Same design as Borla. A bit louder than Borla at all RPMs.

Header

Pacesetter - Currently being designed. (checking release date)

RK Sport - Ceramic-coated. More HP in higher RPM range. Small loss in torque.

Mantapart - Nickel-plated. Only available for the 2.2L engine. Ceramic-coating available.

Throttle Body

Mantapart - 56mm unit.

RC Engineering - 56mm unit or 60mm unit available upon request.

RS Motorsport - 57mm unit.

Catalytic Converter
The factory catalytic converter is a little bit restrictive. Replacing it with a high-flow converter will give you ~3 HP.

Underdrive Pulley

General Motors - Pulley from older model GM vehicle.

Mantapart - Same as General Motors. Almost the same weight as the factory pulley. Includes a new serpentine belt.

Unorthodox Racing - A lot lighter than the factory pulley. Does not include a new belt.

RK Sport - Same as General Motors.

Turbo System

Chassis Craft - Comes with Greddy Blow-off Valve, custom exhaust manifold, all piping and fittings.

Hahn Racecraft - Currently being tested.

Ignition System

MSD - Offers a Digital DIS-2 Ignition system. Comes with a rev-limiter and anti-theft system.

Lowering Springs

Eibach - Offers Pro-Line 1.4" progressive-rate lowering springs and Sport-Line 2.0" linear-rate lowering springs.

Intrax - Offers 2.0" progressive-rate lowering springs.

Suspension Techniques - Offers 1.2" lowering springs. Anyone know if they're progressive or linear?

RK Sport - Same as Eibach.

Shocks & Struts

Mantapart - Better valving over the factory struts for more control.

Bilstein - Offered by Mantapart.

Strut Braces

General Motors - A front strut brace is offered on convertible models. Exact fit for coupes and sedans.

Freedom Design - Offers a front strut brace in a polished or carbon-fiber finish.

Mantapart - Offers both upper and lower front strut braces in one package. Some drilling is required for installation.

RK Sport - Same as General Motors.

Sway Bars

Addco - Offers a 25.5mm rear sway bar and 25.5mm front sway bar.

Hellwig - Offers a 19mm rear sway bar.

Mantapart - Offers a 19mm or a 22mm rear sway bar.

RK Sport - Same as Hellwig.

Engine Mount Insert

RK Sport - Reduces engine movement when shifting and accelerating.

Energy Suspension - Makes RK Sport's insert. Only available directly from RK Sport.

Short Shifter

Pacesetter - Currently being designed. (checking release date)

Headlights

PIAA - Superwhite headlight bulbs are SAE / DOT approved for street use. No more inspection tickets!

Oil Filter Relocator

Perma-Cool - Relocates your oil filter higher in the engine compartment. Requires the use of a non-GM size oil filter though.
