Zakopane Info
Index
We
spent the night at the riverside of Gdow near Myslenice. In Poland wild camping
is prohibited too, but we never hat troubles therefore. The next morning
we left and drove to Zakopane in the carpatian Mountains, our originate destiny.
These part of the Carpats is named Tatra with the highest carpatian Mountain
Gerlachovsky stit (2655m) on the Slovakian side.
Here on the narrow country roads the fun of motorcycle ridding started. Since we left Germany the sun was shining and the skys were clear. In the warm nights we could see a tremendous number of stars we haven't seen for a long time in the Rhein/Main area, because the nights there are to bright.
Skiing in the Tatra is very famous, on both sides of the polish/slovakian border, everything is well prepared to meet the tourist need. In summer walking and climbing is very popular and the beauty of these Mountains is not that much overcrowded like the Alps.
