Carbon steel music wire is manufactured to the following specifications :-
BS 5216 M4 grade, DIN 17223 part 1, NF A47-301 and ASTM A227
Composition - carbon 0.7 to 1.0%, manganese 0.25 to 0.75%, silicon 0.35%, phosphous and sulphur 0.03% minimum.
Piano Wire, 1.0 metre straightened lengths or coiled
*Please note piano wire marked with * is available in 36 inch lengths.
Spring Wire, 12 inches (305mm) lengths
