January 25, 1999 -- Reorganized my set list a little bit. I've moved all of the sets that were made "from scratch" to my GFS - Graphics From Scratch page. I have also added two new sets, both of them "from scratch." The first, Fall 2 is based on a simple texture and the second, Teal uses a design created with the Kaleidoscope II filter. In the future, all sets made "from scratch" will be listed on the GFS page and the rest of the sets (those made with either dingbats or clip art) will be listed on the regular Graphic Sets page. Oh... and if you are wondering what happened to the cartoon, you can find it on the Miscellaneous page!

January 24, 1999 -- Not much happening this week, due to an unplanned business trip. However, right before I went away, I joined a group called Graphics From Scratch and have added a new section to this site dedicated to creating graphics from scratch. It will probably take a few days to get things organized, but you can take a look at the sections's main page to get an idea of what it's all about. Take a look at my GFS or Graphics From Scratch page.

January 19, 1999 -- This time the new set is based on a simple texture. It has the same feel as the Olive Set and Lavender Set that I did earlier. It's called, simply enough, "Brown".

January 15, 1999 -- Her is another Valentine's Day set. At least, it has a romantic feel to it. If you look closely at the border pattern, you'll see little hearts! The set is called Hearts Too and was made entirely using filters. No dingbats or clipart at all. I have several other sets in the works, but the way things have been going today, I figured I'd better get this one up here while I have the chance. I haven't been able to get through to my ISP all day. I'm guessing that there were phone lines down from the ice storm we've had here.

January 14, 1999 -- I have three new sets for you today. Blue-Green is different from the ones I made so far because the buttons were made specifically to go into the border. They just won't work anywhere else! Soft Blue uses a soft grain texture and has a navigation bar. To make it easier for you to create your own buttons for it, I've included three blanks: one that has the top border, one for the middle and one for the bottom. The final set is for those of us who love dinosaurs. It's called, appropriately enough, Dinosaur and would be particularly good for a kid's web site. I have also added a new link to my Links page, for Fortress Web Design Tips and Tutorials. This is a good place for webmasters of all experience levels to find some really good advice about web design. I have also added another link in the Parlor to a new user of Tangled Web Graphics, the Douglas County Rape-Victim Survivor Service, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides support for survivors of rape. Of course, since I'm stuck at home with today's snowstorm, who knows what I may come up with later?

January 10, 1999 -- Another new set for you to use. It's called Hot Pink Swirl and was created using a BladePro Preset. Although it doesn't have a Valentine's Day theme, it would make a nice Valentine's page simply because of the colors.

January 5, 1999 -- Just got my first award of the new year. Go to my Awards page to view it. Other than that, not much to add, except that you can look for a rather major update to the links page in the next day or two.

January 3, 1999 -- Happy New Year! In the final entry for December, I told you I had some surprises in the works. This isn't what I was talking about, but I've been very busy making things for you. There are three new tutorials, two graphics tutorials and one HTML tutorial, and count 'em, seven new graphic sets. Rather than list each of these things individually here, I direct you to the Graphic Sets list and the Tutorials List respectively. The new sets are the last seven in the list! As always, if you have ideas for tutorial topics, please send me e-mail. I can be reached at: [email protected]
