Configuring The Software
WOW, you made it to steo 4! Now that the software is installed on your computer,
it now needs to be setup to connect to the chat server. This is what allows you to communicate with others on the
server.
1) Open the mIRC program (as described in step 3)
2) When the program opens, you will see a window that says "mIRC Setup". Click the "ADD" button.
3) Where it says Description, simply type "Ozztallica IRC Server".
4)In the field labeled "IRC SERVER" type "irc.ozztallica.dyn.ml.org".
5) The port field should alreayd be completed with "6667"
6) Click "ADD"
7) Once you are back at the "mIRC Setup" window, fill in the information such as "nickname",
"real name", and "e-mail address"
The software now knows exactly where to look on the internet so that it can connect you to the chat group, |
