LaserLock MLS LaserLock International |
A hidden directory called LASERLOK should exist on the original CD. This directory contains files with unreadable errors. | As there is no Generic Patch yet. Separate patches are needed to sucessfully get around it. BlindRead can also be very handy copying this protection. Try using the Ignore Read Error setting in Nero, CDRWIN, CD Wizard or DiskJuggler. Depending on you CD reader it is often better to use your CD Writer as Source CD-Reader as CD writers are better at reading unreadable data. It is also possible to copy the unreadable files using a HexEditor. This way all readable parts of the file are copied to a file.
Laserlock uses a combination
of encryption software and unique laser marking on the CD surface made
during the special LaserLock mastering procedure, in order to make copying
practically impossible. Every CD-ROM application has a unique locking
parameter that provides a complete protection against illegal re-mastering
and reproduction. LaserLock offers excellent protection for every
application as each application package is characterized by a unique encryption
parameter that is specified during LaserLocking procedure.
The LaserLock protection can be recognized
by a (hidden) directory called LASERLOK which is in the root of
the CD.

Safe Disc Ç-Dilla And Macrovision Corporation |
The following files should exist on the original CD: 00000001.TMP, CLCD16.DLL, CLCD32.DLL and most important CLOKSPL.EXE. There is always a GAME.EXE and GAME.ICD file where the .ICD is the original game executable and the .EXE is a loader containing a parts of the SafeDisc protection. | Backup Solution:Create a 1:1 CD-Copy and then use the Generic SafeDisc Patch to remove the protection from the program! There are a few CD-Readers which are capable in making a 1:1 CD-Copy and then don't need any patch to play the game. From what i have heard the Teac CD-532S & Teac CD-R55S are the best drives to do this!
