“No,” Carmine chuckled. “At the speed Tony works?
I can do an album, probably two, AND a tour before he’s ready.”
I laughed. Tony was notorious for how long he took
between projects. Three years the last time.
Carmine continued, “I’m trying to get everybody together
Friday night. I know it’s short notice, but I’ve had…”
“A hell of a time trying to get a hold of me. So I heard.”
We laughed. “So who is ‘everybody’?”
“Well, B. J. Do you know him? He played bass
with the Oilmen. Freddy’s on organ. Plus a couple of guys from
the shore. Do you know Davy? Davy Morgan?”
“Tall, skinny guy with bushy blonde hair? Plays
keyboards?”
“Yeah, that’s him. I know you know Sam Silverstein,
he’s one of your dad’s proteges.”
