     I am working as a Science Research Specialist on a government research institution of the Philippines, the Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI) of the Department of Science and Technology under the Electronics and Process Control Division (EPCD). A research and development division which aims to provide support and render service to the industry by undertaking research and development work in the various fields of electronic responsive to the industry's specific R&D requirements.

     The Division is giving greater preference to collaborative research and development efforts with industry. This collaboration includes technology transfer, technical assistance, and utilization of equipment and facilities. The Division also provides other technical services such as consultancy, training, product prototyping, and other support activities to industry, academe, government, and non-government organizations.

This photo was taken last August 28, 1999 at my parentsA family picture with my parents home during the City fiesta of Cagayan de Oro City, a city of Golden Friendship as Cagayanons called it. The photo consists of my mom, my dad, my wife and my self. This is also the first time that my wife visited the promising city of the south and she enjoy the culture, customs and tradition of the people who reside here.

  Netscape 6 PR 1

This is the Preview Release 1 of the Netscape 6. The company dropped the name Communicator from the suite; now the entire suite is simply called Netscape. But the real surprise is that the company decided to skip the next point upgrade for the Communicator 4.x browser and email clients and head straight to version 6.

  IRQ Conflicts

Q: How can I change the IRQ of either my video card or network card? They share the same IRQ, which I believe is giving me some problems with my DSL modem. I tried to change it in the device manager, but was told I can't change the resource.

A: IRQ is an abbreviation for Interrupt Request Line. Every peripheral needs a way to get the attention of the central processing unit. This is done through IRQ. Peripherals can't share interrupt lines-- it confuses the computer.    ...>>
