This area provides an excellent environment for study and learning, as the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, but has all the advantages and facilities of larger cities. There are 16 klms of highway stretching between Yeppoon, past the glorious Causeway Lake to Emu Park. This stretch of road is called the Scenic Highway and boasts thirteen beaches that border long stretches of golden sand and turquoise sea. The General Study Tour Accommodation is situated in the middle of this magnificent area at the Causeway Lake.

The Capricorn Coast has a large number of educational attractions, some of which are included in the General Study Tours, and many more that guests can see when they are having their 'free time'. They range from Island tours, fishing and snorkeling, to visits to the Koorana Crocodile Farm, Dreamtime Aboriginal Center and Cooberie Park, which is a fantastic place for anyone to learn about the unique Australian wildlife. At Cooberie Park you can cuddle a Koala, feed the Kangaroos, hold a large Carpet Snake plus many other activities, or just enjoy the scenery. There are numerous places to swim, and included in the Study Tour are Canoeing, Aqua sports and watching an Australian Rugby League Football match (in the football season).
