These other programs include non-profit programs - ones that you personally do not directly gain monetary rewards. That is not to say there is no value to the programs. Many are charity based, and help others; they rely on your social conscience, and goodwill toward human-kind.
Also listed here are those programs I could not place in the main categories. Either they do it all, or I don't really know what they do. Generally, if they do it all, I will place them in an appropriate category besed on their primary or strongest function.
Programs specific for Webmasters are also listed here, however may be moved to their own category in the new year (or is it new millenium - to some perhaps)?
Finally, survey programs are listed here, but will also gain their own category as the idea grows.
Personal Request: If you apply from this page, please email me know so I can track your progress with any of these programs. I need referral feedback to improve my reviews of these sites. I may also be able to help you with problems, or your own referrals if you choose to do all the effort like this. |
Uploading.com is a free online file hosting service. You can post your files, of any legal kind, and be paid when people download them. This is excellent for those whom are sharing free scripts, game addons, ebooks, or other material that you don't want to host on your own server. They allow any file type, up to 300mb!
Server space can be expensive, and bandwidth can be more costly when you have popular downloads. This is the perfect solution.
NOTE: Closed - reopened Feb 2000 as Click Dough (see Paid to Surf)
ClickRebates.org will be a program whereby you click for money like other programs, however your income is redirected to the charity of your choice (from their list). A window is opened on your desktop where ads are shown. 80% of ClickRebate's income is given to their charities through this system.
I am not aware at this point (August 1999) whether a tax-deduction is available for such donation, or if a receipt is provided. Check with the organization directly. The program is still in "pre-launch" mode, and has been now (Jan 2000) for 5 months. No notices have been sent to members, even to confirm your pre-registration.
When I joined the program they had a fairly extensive website explaining their program. In October on a revisit, the site had regressed to a single page stating that the program was "coming soon" and you could only put your name in to be on the guest list for the grand opening. But I don't know when that would be.
Update: this organization may have closed Nov 1999 - no confirmation, the site is still running.
They claim you can make $42,000 a year. Of course, this assumes you and your 9000+ referrals visit their sites 3 times a day every day, forever without exception. While that is not quite likely, over time it may become possible as you expand your referral base. This is why I have this site, and why I explain everything to you. You receive one cent for your referrals, up to 5 levels. Every time you or they visit a site, you get another penny. Sure it sound like a small amount, but in these programs, it is volume that pays.
There are no banners, links or games in this program. It's simply a credit to surf system. There are no hidden fees, like in G2W or other programs above! That is a bonus. But you can only visit their one (if any) advertiser each 4-8 hours, making the money making process very long and tiresome.
Now the negative! How they get you in this program... You MUST click through their site every 8 hours in order to keep your account active, but no more than every 4 hours. If you miss the 8 hour deadline, your account is frozen until you visit their site. While frozen, you collect no benefits of the people below you, assuming they are still active too. What I do not know is if you collect benefits for referrals of your inactive-referrals, or are they frozen to you also? If so, this program is completely useless, if you think it is useful at all. You may as well sign up, it cannot hurt. Maybe you will find a way in your life to visit every few hours. If you do not visit after 30 days, your account is deleted.
Possibly the worst thing about this organization is their database security. They ask US residents for their SSN, and place it in a publically accessible database. All new members' passwords are set to "mailbox" if their email address is over 19 characters long. This might not be a significant problem, except for the fact that they broadcast this security flaw on their login page. I am sure by this point (120,000+ member id's) that many members have had their personal information viewed by others.
When a friend applied, the system gave him an incorrect member-id, and he logged into someone else's account - to his surprise, all my member information was someone else's. He never found out what his actual ID was supposed to be, but has since acquired his very own account (after 3 tries). I think they have solved this problem.
If you apply for a membership, I suggest you immediately login to your account (after receiving a id/password in your email) and change your password from the "mailbox" default before someone else looks at your info. My account balance has not updated in weeks, even though I occasionally do click-through.
SUMMARY
No ads have been available for the past 2-3 months. Member click-thru's have decreased significantly. Reports from some people that the site is closed are common, yet the site itself is operational. It would seem that the "DataX" domain is a fraud or something I cannot explain. I don't recommend anything there.
This is a combination of services; U-Trade, One & Only Network, Alternative Connections and Opportunity Plus. U-Trade is a free auction internet. The One & Only Network is an online internet-personals matchmaker system, and one of the largest on the net. Alternative Connections caters to a younger non-mainstream audience, providing matchmaker services. Finally, the Opportunity Plus runs as a pay-per-click program.
The pay-per-click rate for October 1999 is listed at 42 cents. However, their payment rates are linked to your conversion rate (sales to traffic ratio) which might make a significant difference, depending on your audience. They also pay for webmaster referrals - so if you have a website, and want to try your marketing genious, please follow my link here and get started.
Cheques are mailed monthly, regardless of your balance (no minimum!)
This is also listed in the Webmaster Tools area. I have had little luck with this organization, in various ways. Their program seems nice, but unless you are truly involved in the promotions, I don't see the benefits.
You are not actually paid for your time or efforts. There is no pay-per click, or banner view payments, and no referral credits in this organization. It is simply a research group seeking participants to complete short internet based surveys.
For every survey you complete, you are entered into a draw for specific prizes, and they are good ones!
If you have any interest in making your opinion, experiences and preferences make a difference in the world you live in, I suggest you participate in a surver every so often. If not with Greenfield, some other online or offline survey and market research organisation.
This program was available October 1999 under the name 1-Navigator. They have rewritten and renamed the organization ePilot, and is not operational. Instead of a banner window, it is a second "Start" menu (titled Internet) in Windows 95/98/NT and shows links to advertisers in "up to 64 million categories".
You receive credit for any links that you click on. Each link has a value based on the advertiser's fees. You make cash by clicking on links in the ePilot system. You make cash from your referrals, up to 4 levels. In addition, if you refer a new advertiser to the organization, you can receive 50% of the income for the first month.
I found their site confusing regarding payment and referral credit. They do not explain what rate or how it is calculated. Payment is made monthly, a minimum balance of $20 is required.
Installing their software went fairly routinely and I was able to run it and saw the second start-menu (Internet-Menu) appear beside my Start-Menu. You have the option to move it off the Quick-Start bar and above the Start-Menu. Unfortunately, it seems to leave null icons in the Quick-Start bar anyway. I found the menu pop-up extremely slow (but then again it was only a P-133 I tested it on) but it looked like it was running on a 386. There are a lot of links in that menu, and probably a lot more will be added. This may eventually be a problem as space in such a menu system is limited. It can fill your screen in no time. Of course, some people have Start-Menu's that do the same, or Netscape-bookmark files, or font lists in some applications... It's nothing new. Overall I like the concept, and think it might be something for you to try yourself. Unfortunately, their menu sits atop whatever information is in your Taskbar, so if you are running Win98 and use the Quick Launch feature, it will be obstructed by this icon.
I rate this system 7/10 for now, and may increase that after using it for a while.
Joining can only be through this direct referral link. The "Join" link at their website is disabled, so you must use the link below to join. You also can only obtain your stats direct from the bar, not thru their website.
This site is dedicated to feeding the hungry around the world. There is nothing for you to do other than make the effort to signify you wish food to be donated. You simply click on the donate-food button, and you have donated food. In fact, you will be taken to the sponsor list page - they will donate the food for you. In return they encourage you to visit one of the sponsors.
This is a public service & charity organization. Sorry, no money in it for you, just the satisfaction of knowing you may have saved a life somewhere in the world. Each day you click, 1½ cups of rice, wheat, corn or other staple food is donated to a needy group.
No changes to this free-space site since 1999, it is clearly nothing at all!
This is a worldwide IPO - free stocks. This online book seller has joined up with Amazon.com, a leading online business. They are offering stocks to new members for a short time only.
Nothing seems to have changed on the site since August 1999. All the links now point to Amazon.com making this site really just a affiliated portal to Amazon.com.
NOTE: January 2000 they merged with Co-Op Rewards, a shopping program. Unfortunately, Co-Op has a $5 membership fee - waived only for WBM members during the transfer of ownership.
This is similar to Air-Miles available through American Express & Bank of Montreal. You receive points from advertisers for visiting their sites, purchasing or other activities. As an additional promotion you can win a free trip or free stock in the company for joining now. Their 'miles' are actually half-miles. Maybe it should be called Web Bonus Half-Miles instead.
They already have a good list of advertisers, and you may already shop at some. Join this program for your chance to win, and receive free travel while you do. Unfortunately, development of their website has been extremely slow, if any changes have been made in months. The members area is "coming soon" and has been so since October 1999. They state in their news page that they will email account information monthly - beginning in September 1999, and 4 months later, not one email. And they still have not edited that news page since then either
Not as much a get paid program. It is one of the lottery style programs. Think of it as a daily lotto 7-50, where you select 7 numbers in the range 1-50, and if you pick all 7, you win $1,000,000. No cost to join or play, so what could possibly stop you? If you refer someone who wins this prize, you can claim a referral prize of $10,000.
It is very simple, and no strings attached (from what I can see). The only downside at the moment is speed, their page is quite complex with quite a few banners (necessary to the game), but it's not a big problem in my view.
If you like lotteries - they this one is free and simple. I am sure the odds are equal to your state or national lotteries you may already enter. The original in 1986 - Lotto 6-49, and since then there have spawned government lotteries 6-xx around the world, and now in the virtual world. Now if only this lottery could reach $150 million like some of the us multi-state lotteries do!
Cast-Net is many programs in one; stock offers, referral program and paid to view ads. The primary program of interest for this site is the Ad Watcher program. They ask you to login to their site daily to keep your membership active, but they do not state your membership will lapse if you do not.
You may watch ads for up to 40 hours a month, at 30 cents/hour (5 per referral). You will be forwarded a summary of your account activity each Saturday. You simply go to their website, login using your email account (no password so far) and then just watch the ads go by. Then when you are done, use your email again to log out. I am not sure how they plan to track fraud - most organizations have some kind of automation detection. I don't see anything with this at all, not even javascript so far. But this should not be an invitation to attempt to cheat this program. Many have been banned from so many programs, don't be another statistic, and cause for the failure of this new advertizing industry.
This program started in October 1999, and so far has not progressed past the prototype stage, so it seems. Still no functional members area... The promised email stats have never been done. I had to request my stats by email and they sent some figure, nowhere near my personal records. But, they must be given a chance, however 4 months later, no change in the program. While the homepage seems to suggest they are working toward some goal, there are no posting-dates, and no target dates listed making the cautious visitor's little bell go off. Maybe there are some changes, because different pages in the site have completely different layouts for the same links, I guess this is the new and the old sites in a hybrid mix for a while. One final note on the website itself - for a change, it was optimized for Netscape (like the internet once was).
As of November 18, 1999 they had 5 active paying sponsors, and growing. Not a lot, but it takes good users like you to make a small organization like this to grow. They claimed to have 12,000 users as of late Nov/99. On January 6, 2000 only 3 sponsors are listed on the site, bringing an additional concern.
This is a website for the general public to share information, and gain rewards. It is a credit based online information bartering and trading system. You can look thru information titles already online, or request new information. You purchase your information requested with your online credits. Merchandise reward items seem to range from 5000 credits to 60,000.
You get 20 credits a day just for logging in once per day. 50 credits per referral. And, of course, whatever credits you negotiate in the trade of your information. You are also able to get your own online hard-drive, and check your referral and member stats.
This is a catch-all organization. You can collect rewards including points, cash and stocks. You earn cash by surfing and reading email. You earn stock through a new agreements with online companies, and points are earned from your online purchasing activities or clicking on links. You should read the distinction between "free stock" and what they are offering, as noted in the Overview page on their site.
While they claim you can earn cash surfing (40 cents per hour), I have not been able to find it on their site. Only the stock offer and points per click methods seem to be available. It would seem they mean that the stocks they offer you could possibly translate into profits someday of 40 cents an hour... Speculation can be dangerous. Now, on another page, the rules state that you must visit their site 10 times in 30 days, for 90 days in order to earn 5 shares of MOE stock.
You can set your homepage to their site. They provide free email with every membership, which is also accessible free through a 1-800 number. On their website is a To-Do remonder utility, and a calendar for your use.
Clicking on links at the homepage will stop after 125 points are collected, on a daily basis. This is probably to stop people from looping their clicks, clicking every link over and over again. You are asked to visit 10 of each 90 day period to keep the site active, and your account active as well, and to qualify for stock.
Surf Buzz provides Auctions and free Email to its members. It began normal operations in February 2000, but many parts of the program are still not in place, such as the auctions and email. Apparently, they are only offering membership to US residents. The membership requirements only appear after you join, which is unfortunate.
You earn points as you search, email and chat through their system and even simply by being logged in and using their site. Auctions comprise of many different types of products, as noted on their site. All auctions will always start at one point, so the more points you have, the better your bids can be. You should be aware that taxes will be payable on all merchandise purchased using points. I would assume at their valuation of the sale price. But this is an arguable position if they do not assign a value to the Buzz-Points used in the auction.
Banners will be displayed at the top of their homepage, and you can get 25-1000 points per click, ad listed below each ad. A new ad will appear every refresh of the homepage. You are credited for clicking any particular banner only once a month. This will change once the program grows to an adequate size and marketable strength.
This is a paid-for-survey program. The organization is McArthur Business Systems, Inc. (MBS), they develop and implement web-based surveys and discussion groups. By providing your email address and some basic demographic information, you are entered into their database. From time to time you will be contacted and asked to participate in a survey or discussion group.
Incentives are commonly gift certificates or product samples, of $2-10 in value. Not all surveys have direct incentives, some rely on your good will, and some run a lottery for a larger prize. Of course, you can always refuse to particiate in any project. Focus groups usually last 1-2 hours, but the rewards are usually better than for a survey.
Since it is not up to you to participate, you must be contacted, it could be very possible you will not be contacted for months, or years if you do not fit any of their research demographic requirements. So far, I have had no contact from them, possibly because I am not in the USA.
Spedia is a paid-to-surf program, but they also offer a paid-to-signup program, and thus is listed again in this section. For details about Spedia in general, please return to the paid-to-surf area.
Basically, you are credited 50-2000 points ($.40 - $16) for each program you join through general Spedia account. All you have to do is go to the Spedia Join-Program area, and select a program to join, credit points are listed with each. Some programs are USA only, and some are available outside the USA or worldwide, check for the flags with each.
Be Paid is somewhat unique in that the program is cosmetically distinct (see right). In this remote window, you are made offers from advertisers, between $20 and $160. You can select to accept or decline any offer. If you accept it, the ad will appear, and your account will be credited. The ad comes as a television like commercial, and you can watch it. Referral credits are 13% for direct, and 7% for indirect, not too shabby.
It all seemed too good to be true, so I looked for more details, but few are to be found. The program is available in the US, Canada, and much of Europe. However, if you are not in the listed countries, you will be paid in credits until they open in your country. Note, this software is for Windows 9x/NT only. The software is not yet available, but is expected late in January 2000.
Please click on the remote control image on the right to join Be Paid.
This could be your homepage/portal site. Over 800 topics of interest, and current news. Webmasters can link to the site for credit, and anyone can join up. They have links to "fun stuff" games, puzzles and the like. Online chat areas, scribble comment zones and more.
This is a business review network, where you are the reviewer for businesses in your local area. You earn cash when you and your referrals complete business reviews. Basically, you enter your ZIP code, and company name you wish to review. If it is in their database, you can complete a service survey for your experiences with the organisation. The rewards program is only available to legal US residents.
Every US based business listed in a Yellow Pages book is included in their database. That is over 5,000,000 businesses. If you have a business not listed, inclusion is free.
According to the text in their FAQ's you are paid for grading 5-10 businesses per month, plus referrals. Balances over $25 will be paid by cheque. If you grade 5+ businesses, you become a "Big Mouth" and then are qualified to earn cash per rating. 5-10 ratings are paid $0.01 each, if 5-10 cents ONLY. If you rate 11, you are paid only for 10. This is extremely confusing since they also say you can earn over $100 per month, but they don't remind you that this assumes you have a 100% efficient and large downline of 1111 people, who all complete 10 reviews per month for the entire year! You would be more likely to watch the moon explode before that happened!
Special note: The rewards program is valid only from December 1, 1999 to November 30, 2000 (or sooner) and after that time, you will not be paid for making reviews of businesses, per current plans. However, this might change depending on the competition at the time.
NOTE: The link-code in the Webmaster area has an error, a quote is missing from the first line of code at the end. Change this only if you need the link on your website.
SUMMARY: The concept is interesting, but I am not so sure it will succeed if they only plan on rewarding people with a maximum of 10 cents for possibly an hour of effort every month. Even if you maximized your reviews, and were able to get a friend or two below you to do the same, you probably won't get reach the minimum $25 payout level, resulting in no cash at all. Your friends would be in the same boat. I have to rate this one at 2/10. Better than one because it has potential, but at a penny per review, it fails to spark any interest in me. I would rather wanded the downtown streets picking up nickles and dimes - hey one dime and I am probably ahead!
Get Paid to Date. An online dating service - currently in Pre-Launch mode. They are located in Vancouver Canada. You earn Cupid-credits in this program, exchangable for cash, one credit = one US penny. Credits are earned in various ways. You get a credit per minute of use of the DateBar, plus referrals. That translates to 60 cents per hour, or since this is a Canadian organization; $1.00 CDN. Their goal is 50 hours allowable use per month (about $30).
The DateBar is a dating oriented advertizing window. It also features the DateBuddy - a dating oriented instant communicator with a complex set of parameters to search for your potential date.
Expected opening day is, guess.... Yup, February 14, 2000. How romantic! And it just may be for you if you sign up now. Your first month could result in a date or two, plus $35 in your account!
Payouts are made monthly, after your account reached $30. Get $5 when you join now! It won't hurt you - unless you like that kind of thing.
Minrak is a web hosting organization. They now offer paid-to-surf type programs, including, survey completion, website tours, shopping rewards and more will be added. You can post your resume online also for job searching, and plan your next get-together using their services.
You earn E-points that you can redeem for merchandise or cash. 200 points is equal to $1, but a minimum of 2000 points is required to gain $10 cash. Currently you can only get credits for shopping online, clicking links and completing surveys. For visiting websites, clicking on links, you a limited to 100 points a day (50 cents), but you can do whatever surveys are available.
SUMMARY:
Over the past few months this program has improved and expanded. Their servers seem to be able to handle the load of users currently utilizing the program, and overall performance is good. Their rating has, as a result, increased 2 points to 6/10.
A survey organization, where you receive $1 per survey you complete. They usually take about a minute, and thus they extend this to you doing a survey a minute for a year, and making a heap of money - $100,000. It is too bad organizations make rediculous claims like this. At the moment, there are still no surveys available for members. In order to achieve their claimed $100,000 a year, you would need to complete 60 surveys an hour, 480 surveys a day, 2400 a week, 100,000 a year. That is a full time job to compelte 100,000 surveys (208 days). But since they have no surveys available, you cannot even make one dollar!
The program is designed for US residents only, however others may participate. Surveys are available only to members who fit the criteria of a particular survey. You cannot select which ones to complete, but you can always refuse to participate without penalty.
This is an affiliate program mainly. You are paid $5 for your first level of referrals, and $0.25 for the second (increasing as the downline progresses). Unfortunately, the $5 is only paid on your first 20 referrals, then the primary credit drops to $2 per new referral.
The program is actually a shopping consumer network assisting you in contacting merchants that can provide you with the goods you want at the prices you want.
Currently only USA residents may participate and join the program. Payment is made after you accumulate $250 in your account. In fact, 25% of your income in this program MUST be spent online thru their site, following the rule that the first $250 of each $1000 must be spent online. This may require a huge number of referrals - especially since there is no continuing income from your referrals once they join. When you join, you will be snail-mailed a confirmation postcard with a PIN that you need to confirm your registration, this may take a few weeks to come in. Too bad they don't trust email. Personally I don't see the use in real mail to confirm, since they will eventually have to send you a cheque, so why would anyone use a fake address to join?
I would like to know what the incentive is to actually participate in this program unless you are quite sure you can get at least 125 direct referrals or better - just to make the minimum before cash payment is allowed. But, if you want whatever they are selling, you might be ok.
Borrowing from the member-rating interactivity of eBay, ePinions is a member based review and opinion database. As a member, you are paid for reviewing products and services. Other members can rate you as a preferred rater, or a banned rater - basically 10/10 or 1/10. It is in your best interest to make good and valid reviews. Making fake reviews just to make a buck will result in failure. You are paid when people read your reviews, and if your rating it low, people will skip you over, completing the circle.
ePinions is a shopping and information resource, but since you are paid only for reviews you complete, this is not a paid to shop program. Possibly some day it may expand to such, I think that might be a logical progression.
If you would like to look at the program, click here. To view the table links you would add to your website if you joined the affiliate program, look at my paid-to-shop page.
Speedy click is one thing and one thing only. It is a quick fun game site where you can win real prizes. There is no direct get-paid program in place here. No credits for referrals, and no credit for playing any of the free online games here. But, if you do happen to win something, congratulations! Remember me when you are rich and don't know what to do with your billions.
In this program, you can earn up to 500 air miles a day in your frequent flier programs. Currently, only Delta Airlines and TWA are enrolled in the service. They will be expanding to many other US airlines in the next few months, and soon after will expand to European based airlines. You must be a member of an affiliate frequent flier program to receive your miles.
All you have to do is follow links from their website, to gain your air miles... Miles per click I guess you could say.
Full operation is expected May 15, 2000 (May 10 - some pages are down and stats are unavailable)
With the dot-com collapse of 2001 this one closed its doors also. However, it seemed they gave up in the summer of 2000 as they stopped most of their services without notice then.
Winfire is a browser assistant. It is about ½ an inch tall, locks to the top or bottom of your screen, or can be set to float in small-form, or hidden in the tray. The tool bar includes a news ticker-tape, search & site lookup tool, account and bar controls and options (of course) and so many other features. It looks something like this:
You earn points, one per minute online and around 10 points per click on links, to a maximum of 500 per day. These points can be used to bid on merchandise and prizes available at the Winfire member-points site.
Winfire offers use of the browser-assistant software above to any organization wishing to advertize, promote and adopt the WinFire bar. Many organizations have done this. Unfortunately, you can only register once with Winfire and so you cannot join other Winfire associated programs; Winfire allows only one membership per person. This is unfortunate since you may wish to join more than one of them. An example is listed below.
You must download the Winfire software, install and use the program itself to join WinFire. You can download the program by clicking on the Winfire bar shown above, or click here. It is 1.5 mb only.
There still seem to be some problems with the bar and main site - they sometimes have quite different stats, one visit to the points website said I had 1010 points, but the Winfire bar showed 1500 points. Hopefully they will be able to correct these small glitches quickly. Since this is a new program, we should expect a few small bugs. If you have this bug, simply re-log in using the link direct from the 'W' pull-down menu in the Winfire bar, this seems to correct the discrepency.
They went bankrupt - they could never survive based on their plans, and they didn't.
Broadband Digital Group is preparing to provide free DSL service in the United States. In order to qualify for receiving a free dsl modem and service, you must download the Winfire browser-assistant designed for FreeDSL. As mentioned above with Winfire, this is a browser-assistant toolbar. FreeDSL is the sponsor of this particular version of the Winfire bar. FreeDSL is a future program, Winfire is currently active.
The benefit of joining the FreeDSL service is that they provide a free 56k dial-up ISP to members, and soon you may be able to get free DSL in your area under the same program! You are thus joining two programs here. You sign up and request free dsl service from Free DSL, and you also join Winfire for use of the browser assistant. For information specific to the Winfire bar, read the section above this one.
Free DSL plans to provide free high speed DSL service beginning in April 2000. In order to qualify for the service, you must use the Winfire bar, and find 10 people who also are interested in the service. These people must register also, and download the Winfire bar (with your link imbedded in the code) by May 31.
All you have to do is download a new Internet Software Application called the FreeDSL Browser Assistant from Winfire. It works with your web browser to provide instant access to useful web sites and services directly from your desktop (it's small enough to fit in your windows start bar). Just click on the attached link to quickly download the program for free.
The company has been very careful on how they offer this free service. They only mention the free dsl modem, and not the service itself. Further, BDG has no hardware, and owns no companies that can provide dsl service. They are working now on partnerships with isp's and telephone companies to make such service available through them. However, at the moment, no dsl is available. Of course, they said it wouldn't be until April anyway.
The company that you help build and own - until they were forced to stop that. Originally they were giving away free stock, but since they are not yet registered, it is illegal to give away something they don't have. But they plan on correcting this technical detail in the immediate future. When you go to the website, this will be the first thing you see, the official notice.
Anyway, they will reward 85% stock equity to members during their growth. You earn this by visiting websites, completing surveys, shopping online, and of course, referrals. Their goal is a net worth of $200,000,000 by 2003, and it just might be possible. Every 1000 points will earn you one additional share - whenver the organization goes IPO. You can alternately, redeem your points for products or services from the program sponsors. The program is currently only available in the US, to US residents - IPO's are national only by regulation.
NOTE: The site has not been updated since October 1999. Something to ponder when you visit. After looking thru the site again months later, I am not even sure what they were claiming to do.
Another catch-all program: Paid to read email, visit websites, shop online, complete polls and surveys, and take trial offers, etc. A bonus for non-North Americans, this program is available worldwide. A caution though, the minimum payout is $200.
You gain credits for everything you do. It's too bad that they chose to make each credit almost worthless. It has been common for a credit to be worth ¼-1 cent each. This organization has made 1000 credits = $1 us. Each referral will give you 1000 credits. Now if that's all you do, refer people, you will need 200 referrals before you can receive a penny of the monies owing. I guess this is a long-term investment of effort for members, but we would hope these programs will be around long enough for use to see a reward in our hands. Of course, you don't have to take cash, you can redeem points at any time for merchandise thru partner sites.
Current point rewards: Joining reward: 1,000 Kredits when you join and fill subscription surveys. 1,000 Kredits when each of your Direct Friends fills the subscription survey. 500 Kredits when each of your Indirect Friends up to the 5th referral level fills the subscription survey. Referral earnings are 10% of all Kredits generated by each of your Direct Friends and 5% of all Kredits generated by your Indirect Friends up to the 5th referral level. You can redeem your Kredits for products and services available from our online store and participating web sites such as Amazon, CDNow, Buy.com, Gap, American Airlines, and many others. You can also get cash for your Kredits at an exchange rate of 1,000 Kredits/US$ The minimum cash redemption is US$200 and you can choose among several payment methods (check, wire tranfer, Western Union). Transaction fees will depend on the payment method and the country where the money is sent. (Summarized below)
This is a paid to screensave program! You download their internet based screen saver program (originally available in April 2000) and then whenever you are not around, or not using your system - the screensaver will pop up as normal, but you are now being paid for it! What could be easier?
The site moved to OnScreen Interactive in late 2000 but did not notify its members, and did not seem to transfer memberships. In fact, there does not seem to be a membership option. The company has not responded with numerous inquiries.
Generally I don't include downline generation programs on this site, but people keep sending me more and more tips on them, so I thought I would include one of the older ones as an example.
By joining this or any other downline club - they have other names also - you are getting into a forced matrix, or membership growth system which is supposed to make you money with little effort. You may as well buy the Brooklyn Bridge while you are at it.
This one like many others promises everything under the sun, but has little to show for it. One thing that has happened is that if you link using the referral code they provide, you don't get credit. Your referrals may or may not be put in your downline in these programs.
I could go on and on about them, but I will simply say, stay away from downline clubs of any kind!
Sweepsurf is the rebirth or M-Value which failed in August 2000. They have followed AllAdvantage's lead in all areas - and here have moved from paid to surf, to a sweepstakes based program.
Every hour a surfer wins $50. Every day $1000 is given away and each month a car is won. And a chance or two to win $1,000,000 per month!
Like paid to surf programs, you download a banner viewer. Banner ads will be displayed on your screen and you then receive entries for the above contests. You will receive $1.50 for all your referrals joining, however there is no referral rewards program as there was with M-Value.
Thanks for visiting my site. If you found something useful, then my work has been worthwhile. Now if the banners on the site, or any site for that matter are of interest to you, you should persue that interest. After all, that's why the information is there, to make you aware and direct you to the information you are looking for.
