Introduction
NSM Jukebox is the leader in storage systems for the emerging CD Information Systems market.  Headquartered in Bensenville, Illinois, NSM jukebox is the U.S.-based division of NSM A.G., a German company that is the world's leading manufacturer of advanced CD-ROM-based information systems, commonly known as CD Jukeboxes. NSM delivers powerful, fully networkable jukebox systems by integrating its quality engineered CD hardware with storage management software offered through the company's alliances with leading independant software vendors. Since 1989, NSM has installed more than 74,000 CD Information Systems, and its current leading product, the NSM Mercury, is the world's fastest 150-disc unit.

Today, law firms, financial institutions, publishers, insurance companies, medical institutions and government agencies are just a few of the enterprises rapidly employing CD Information Systems for document imaging, graphics management, CD library management and archival storage.

NSM offers CD based systems fully capable of complementing and enhancing traditional data storage systems. These systems offer growing organizations with a low cost highly efficient alternative to traditional storage methods. NSM's CD solutions increase user productivity and efficiency by maximizing data availability, system scaleability and manageability.

Innovation and market demand have driven down the cost of storage, while increasing performance dramatically. NSM Jukebox products have established the market standard in hardware performance through the quality engineering of its super fast robotic mechanisms. This technology is the core of NSM's CD Information Systems, and is proven to deliver the fastest "Time to Deliver Data" or TDD in the market. Such precision dramatically reduces user response time while fully protecting data integrity.

Speed And Reliability

NSM currently provides customers with the world's fastest, most reliable CD Information Systems. In addition to the fast TDD, NSM's disc exchange mechanism does not damage CDs or require special coatings to prevent scuffing.  Using a proprietary "no touch" system, each disc is cradled in its own tray, so the only thing that touches the disc is the drive -- a key feature, since most directory and content information is stored on the outer 10% of the disc.

The following chart highlights the key features contributing to the speed and reliability of NSM Jukebox's products:
