These drawings were all done in the winter of 1979-80. It was a very rewarding time in my life,
when Jeremy Zane was about 4 1/2 years old, and I could think of nothing but my art.
I bought a radiograph pen like architechs use and it inspired me to take up my artwork again after not
having done anything with it for several years. Conan was completed in pencil and totally inked over
with the new pen. ERB had been started in pencil but only an outline had been finished.
I completed the rest of it with the new pen and it turned out to be the most detailed of any of my work to date.
I had several other pieces started during this time, but only completed a couple of them.
They were not framed like these and were allowed to deterioate into unpresentable condition...
The one I regret loosing the most was a pen drawing of the Asia "Alpha" Record Album cover.
(Yes we all used to have records instead of CD's back then --*Smile*-- )
These are the only ones I have in Ohio and since getting the scanner hooked up and functioning over the
holidays, I am finally able to post them to the internet. (* JE *)
