3.09.01Lost in the Spectral plane: Soul Reaver 2Millions of gamers upon receiving the "To be continued..." message at the end of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, were eagerly anticipating its sequel, Soul Reaver 2. Well, if you are a Dreamcaster and are waiting to play Soul Reaver 2 on your beloved Dreamcast, you will have to wait a little longer...forever actually, because Eidos Interactive has decided to cancel it, according to IGN. This game was one of Dreamcast Otaku's Most Wanted games, and without question, one of millions of other Dreamcasters alike.An official statement has yet to be announced regarding the reasons for the cancellation, but it seems that releasing this game during Sega's transitional period, and while "death is knocking" on Dreamcast's door, didn't fit well with Eido's interests. Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2, as well as, Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2 (never announced for the Dreamcast), the sequel to Blood Omen, are both scheduled to make their appearances on Sony's 128-bit system. Well, for what it's worth (not much now), check out the Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2 Preview. Hopefully, this is all a big joke...but I really doubt it.
