Mr. Boombastic Hotshots it up with "It wasn't me"

Shaggy’s new CD Hotshot produced by Christopher Birch for Langmann Productions is a compilation of Caribbean and Latin type music. Easy to move to with its upbeat melodies, this type of music grabs the listener and makes them one with the music.

Shaggy sings his songs with romantic undertones, describing what to do in every situation that couples can go through or have to deal with. He takes our society’s downfalls and lifts them to a higher level with beats of the reggae persona.

Throughout his CD I was moving and singing along, as I got familiar with the tunes of his reggae mixes. With no doubt I found his music soothing to the soul and I was definitely able to feel it. It grabs a hold of the listener and doesn't let them go. He uses basic melodies that suggest hopping down and chilling out to.

It wouldn’t be possible for me to analyze every song on his CD, because they are all so good. But just to tantalize your taste buds for some fun, here are a couple of songs I found exceptionally interesting.

The number one hit, “It Wasn’t Me,” track ten, featuring Ricardo “RikRok” Ducent and produced by Shuan “Sting” Pizzonia is about a man caught cheating on his girlfriend with the girl next door. It is a song easy to relate to in the all too common battle between couples in the modern era.

Another great hit in Hotshot would have to be track four, “Leave It To Me”, a slow song about romance and a rendezvous between two people. If you’re looking for a song to mellow out to, and put you in the mood for a quiet evening, this is the song you want to hear.

“Girl you’re my angel, my darling angel,” a short part of the chorus in “Angel,” track five, is a little more upbeat and shows the meaning of a relationship and how to keep that special girl. If you'r e ever having relationship problems and you just want some good old fashioned advice, this is the song to listen to.

Trust me when I tell you that you definitely want this CD. So do what you have to do, and run over to the Wall and go get it. Everyone has to like Reggae, especially music personality Shaggy who is just as cool in person as he is in his CD’s. I know, because I’ve had the pleasure of meeting him. So get the CD Hotshot and groove to Shaggy.

Trust me, you’ll be jamming to this CD all over the place. From in the car to in the club, this is the new hot music you won’t be able to get enough of.
