Looking Back
1970 - Juniors' first class trip

The juniors got their chance to try out the slopes of the Poconos. On Feb. 24, 1970 the class of '71 planned the first ever Junior Class Trip in the history of Neshaminy. In the past seniors were the only ones who got the privilege of a class trip off campus.

The trip was to Split Rock Lodge in the Poconos. Students were offered all of the facilities, including, lunch, dinner and skiing at the Big Boulder Ski Area.

The class of '71 was not only the founders of the Junior Class Trip, but they were the first to propose many other activities. These activities included a prom held away from the high school, a class picnic and the Battle of the Bands.
