SPRING SPORTS PREVIEW


Boys' Volleyball


The boys varsity volleyball team has onlyone returnee, senior Eric Soroka. Last year the boys finished their season with a 12-5 record and second place finish in the Suburban One League. "We have only one goal and that is to win," head coach Bill Ferrraro said.


Softball


Returning varsity players who are expected to deliver exceptional performances are seniors Leah Conley, Christen Cuozzi, Kelly Garvin, Lauren Mullins, and Kelly McManus, Juniors Jen Baldwin and Alisa Finn, and sophmores Allison Nemeth and Tracey Sylvestre.

Girls' Spring Track

Major contributors for the Lady 'Skins are Angela Miles, Michele Stahl, Liz Moskus, Alicia McGinty, Kim Rubin, Tara Ebert, Kristin Malloy, Lindsay Jenkins, Erin Vaccaro, and Katrina Asciolla. "We're looking foward to spring knowing we have depth in every event," stated head coach Steve Harnish. "We are looking ahead with great optimism."

Boys' Tennis

Although at this time the future of the tennis team is unsure due to lack of coaching, the future still holds bright. This year there was a huge turnout in tryouts. "I'm really happy with the turnout and the quality of the kids," commented head coach Mark Rosenfeld.

Boys' Spring Track

Talented atheletes amoung the boy's track team include Chris Monreal, Russ Horrocks, Rob Thomas, Brett McMonagle, Bob Schwartz, Nick Ervin, Matt Stafford, Chase Holt, Jim Miller, Benny Jose, Mike Lodge, Dan Caldwell, and Dan Quirk. "We're in the toughest league in Pennsylvania," explained coach Harry Fischer. "But I know we'll remain competitive."

Girls'Soccer

Coach Richard Reice has high expectations among players Margaret Kaminksa, Diana Laich, Sharla Partlon, Kim Thomas, and Lindsay O'Connell. "Based on what we've seen over the winter, I'd be disappointed if we didn't improve at all from last year," Reice said.
Baseball

The baseball team is fired up and ready to go. Last year the team finished with a record of 10-8-1. Coach Dennis Cox feels the team will get better every week through the season. "We have a lot of seniors that show signs of becoming leaders on and off the field," Cox said. This leadership should push the team in the right direction.
