FACULTY GUIDE FOR USING THE ASSESSMENT
CENTER
HOURS OF OPERATION
Monday through Thursday: 8:30 AM - 8 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM 2:30 PM
SUBMISSION OF ACADEMIC TESTS
The Assessment Center staff can
accommodate students taking makeup, retake, and special accommodation tests. (Students enrolled in online courses may take all
of their tests in the Assessment Center, if necessary.)
Assessment Center staff can accommodate ten (10) or fewer students per class
per professor at one time. (If you teach an
online course, staff will attempt to accommodate as many of the students as necessary.)
Please complete and submit an
official Test Request Form (TRF) providing details about your test. Please provide all of
the information requested, particularly the names and social security numbers of the
students who are eligible to take the test. You
can record the names and social security numbers in the designated space on the form or
you can attach an official class roster with the students names and social security
numbers highlighted. You can also attach a
list containing your name, the course name, thestudents names, and their social
security numbers. Finally, please type/write your name on each test copy.
Assessment
Center staff will adhere strictly to your written test instructions. Please make sure they have all of the information
necessary to provide you students timely and efficient service.
To help ensure the integrity of the
colleges academic testing programs, we ask that you (or your authorized designee)
personally deliver your tests to the Assessment Center.
PRIOR
NOTIFICATION OF STUDENTS
Please
make sure your students know when your tests will be available in the Assessment Center
(start and end dates), how much time you have allotted, and what aids (notes, calculators,
diskettes, etc.) they should bring.
ACADEMIC INTEGRITY
Please advise your students to maintain the
Colleges standards relative to academic honesty.
Assessment Center staff members are required to document and report any
evidence of, or the appearance of, academic dishonesty.
RETRIEVAL OF ACADEMIC TETS
To help ensure the integrity of the
Colleges academic testing program, we also ask that you (or your authorized
designee) sign/initial for each test returned. If
a designee will retrieve your tests, please notify the Assessment Center staff in advance
and make sure the designee has a photo ID.
