FACULTY  GUIDE FOR USING THE ASSESSMENT CENTER

HOURS OF OPERATION

Monday through Thursday: 8:30 AM - 8 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM

SUBMISSION OF ACADEMIC TESTS

The Assessment Center staff can accommodate students taking makeup, retake, and special accommodation tests.  (Students enrolled in online courses may take all of their tests in the Assessment Center, if necessary.)   Assessment Center staff can accommodate ten (10) or fewer students per class per professor at one time.  (If you teach an online course, staff will attempt to accommodate as many of the students as necessary.)

Please complete and submit an official Test Request Form (TRF) providing details about your test. Please provide all of the information requested, particularly the names and social security numbers of the students who are eligible to take the test.  You can record the names and social security numbers in the designated space on the form or you can attach an official class roster with the students’ names and social security numbers highlighted.  You can also attach a list containing your name, the course name, thestudents’ names, and their social security numbers. Finally, please type/write your name on each test copy.

Assessment Center staff will adhere strictly to your written test instructions.  Please make sure they have all of the information necessary to provide you students timely and efficient service.

To help ensure the integrity of the college’s academic testing programs, we ask that you (or your authorized designee) personally deliver your tests to the Assessment Center.

 PRIOR NOTIFICATION OF STUDENTS

Please make sure your students know when your tests will be available in the Assessment Center (start and end dates), how much time you have allotted, and what aids (notes, calculators, diskettes, etc.) they should bring.

 ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

Please advise your students to maintain the College’s standards relative to academic honesty.   Assessment Center staff members are required to document and report any evidence of, or the appearance of, academic dishonesty.

 RETRIEVAL OF ACADEMIC TETS

To help ensure the integrity of the College’s academic testing program, we also ask that you (or your authorized designee) sign/initial for each test returned.  If a designee will retrieve your tests, please notify the Assessment Center staff in advance and make sure the designee has a photo ID.
