UTGAMES and GAMELINK nickserv commands

Nickserv is used to 'register' your nickname. All commands have been listed below with requirements for use as well as an explanation of each command. This allows users to stop other people from using the nicks they want to use while on our network. Each person is allowed to register two (2) nicknames.

THE COMMANDS

Command Name:
REGISTER
Syntax:
REGISTER <password>
Use:
The REGISTER command allows you to register the nick you are currently using, NickServ will obtain the appropriate masks .
NOTE: It is VERY important to keep your password confidential. Passwords are case sensitive
.
Example:
/msg NICKSERV REGISTER ips

AUTH
Syntax:
AUTH <password>
Use:
The auth command is used to login to the NickServ bot
Example:
/msg NICKSERV AUTH ips

DROP
Syntax:
DROP
Use:
The drop command allows a user to unregister their own nick from the database. You MUST be the registered nick and already authed to perform the drop.
Example:
/msg NICKSERV DROP

Command Name:
RECOVER
Syntax:
RECOVER <nick> <password>
Use:
The recover command allows you to regain your nick from another user or to kill a ghost of your nick.
Example:
/msg NICKSERV RECOVER IPSQUINTY ips

NEWPASS
Syntax:
NEWPASS <newpassword>
Use:
The newpass command allows you to change your password for a registered nick.
NOTE: You MUST be the registered nick and already authed to perform the newpass command
Example:
/msg NICKSERV NEWPASS ipsy

Command Name:
ADDMASK
Syntax:
ADDMASK <user@hostmask>
Use:
The addmask allows you to manually add a new mask to the registered nick.
NOTE: You MUST be the registered nick and already authed to perform the addmask command
Example:
/msg NICKSERV ADDMASK *chuck@*.spoiler.com

DELMASK
Syntax:
DELMASK <user@hostmask>
Use:
The delmask allows you to remove a mask from the registered nick.
NOTE: You MUST be the registered nick and already authed to perform the delmask command
Example:
/msg NICKSERV DELMASK *chuck@*.spoiler.com

Command Name:
ADDTHISMASK
Syntax:
ADDTHISMASK <password>
Use:
The addthismask will allow you to add a new mask to a registered nick. You must be the nick to this command. The command will automatically auth you.
Example:
/msg NICKSERV ADDTHISMASK ipsy
