Welcome to 2001 and the Third Millenium!
Edinburgh set off fireworks from all of its seven hills at midnight. Around 11:45 we tried desperately to make it down Princes Street toward Edinburgh Castle. The crowds were so thick, I didn't make it as far as I wanted, and lost Jim along the way. In this fisheye shot you don't get any sense of just how tight the crowd was.
