Hogmanay is New Years Eve in Scotland.  Some friends and I were trying to decide where to go to ring in the real millenium.
We finally decided on Edinburgh, Scotland, because it was somewhere very different, the land of my ancestors, and they throw one hell of a New Year's party!  The closer we got to January 2000, the fewer travelers there were.  It finally dwindled down to my friend James and I, but we did have plenty of fun!
