St. Andrews Cathedral, in St. Andrews.
We got a very late start on January 1st. We planned to drive along the coast to St. Andrews, but it got dark early, and the turnabouts were rather confusing. We finally got to St. Andrews around 5 p.m. Very little was open, since it was a bank holiday, but we could still see the sights. The only thing we didn't see was St. Andrews famed golf course. I found out later that we were about 100m from the Old course.
